Valid point, although I must argue that Arturo Gatti (whom I love) was never anywhere near Kostya Tszyu's level.

Still, Tszyu did indeed seem to be having an off night, but that appeared to be from Hatton's pressure. Hatton absolutely mauled Kostya, and got away with plenty, but that was the way the night was to go.

Nevertheless, I cannot count out Mayweather's obvious skills, and would still, like most everyone else, prefer to see the Pretty Boy against the Hitman.

how did floyd not clean out 130? did he have to take a time machine and fight azumah nelson in his prime, and a young jc chavez for you to say he cleaned it out?

well how many of the other 130 champs did he fight and KTFO like Tszyu did in his division?....that's what i meant..

of course PBF was the top at 130, but even so, he didn't have a crack at the other title holders during that time.......perhaps not because of his own fault, but still, becoming UNDISPUTED KING by KO'ing the other title holders is definitely a legacy.....

Zab is undisputed champ at the moment, but he doesn't have the respect for it because he didn't personally defeat the others...and nor did he do in with KO's...

i can't yet compare tszyu's prime vs. pbf's because floyd has not hit his yet ....i think pbf has the most talent out of any fighter outhere ...as far as hatton he has a good work rate ,puts alot of pressure and has good stamina and power ..but i belive if he fights pbf he will loose by ud with pbf making him look foolish at times pbf has to much speed and boxing skills for hatton he will not get caught up in the ropes for long and hatton will have a hard time trying to cut of the ring pbf will counter him all night ...i think tszyu would fight pbf in a much closer fight ...tszyu is the only fighter that pbf always shows true respect for and does not talk **** about atleast in any interview that i have seen were tszyu's name is brought up....

I think Tszyu beat Mayweather now, i think Tszyu is close to his prime and the Hatton loss was a styles loss as oppose being too old.

Hatton is normally more entertaining, but if he fought like that against Tsyzu he'd have been KO'd. Hatton used a lot of strength on the inside, he doesnt normally lean on people that much but he had to adapt against Tszyu because he's well known for being a bully in the ring. Hatton's has always set a amazing pace in fights, he's very heavy handed so after the 1st round all of his opponents go on the defensive, Tszyu was the first person who wasnt just looking to survive.
I agree with your post .... Spot on!

You guys should see some of Tszyu;s earlier fights. He was like a completely diferently fighter to todays version. He was VERT fast, light on his feet and showed excellent head movement and was a FAST starter as oppose to his slow starting style of today. Tszyu in his earlier days was every bit as talented as Floyd.

There's no question that Tszyu was out of prime when he fought Hatton, BUT, he was still nonetheless a very good fighter. I tip my hat to Hatton, he fought a very smart fight, and it was impressive considering how he punished Tszyu like no other.

tszyu by far is the legend of the division, and i tell you what, there is no way in the world that mayweather or hatton will go anywhere near tszyu's legacy...................both of their styles are only good for a few years.....hatton won't be able to have that output and pressure in a few years from now, and nor will pbf be as sharp and fast in a few years.................so whatever we say about hatton and pbf is hypothetical and 3-4 years from being proven........

what do you guys think about my comments on their styles only being top for a few years maximum?

I think it's a valid point. Mayweather doesn't rely on his reflexes as much as a Roy Jones would. Mayweather has outstanding boxing talent, and fundamentals he would still be able to compete with the best because of his boxing ability. James Toney has lost some of his speed, and reflexes with his old-age but he is still a good fighter and competing in the heavyweight division.

If Floyd even fights Hatton, I will be VERY suprised.

Floyd won't fight Hatton unless Hatton comes to the US and makes some noise, a name, and unifies. Hatton is going to take those steps after Maussa, according to his team, so be ready.

Hatton could be undisputed at 140 by this time next year (we all know Floyd will vacate his 140 WBC) and Floyd could be undisputed at 147 if he defeats Judah. Imagine a multi-weight unification between unbeaten, undisputed champions? Has such a thing happened in modern times? Ever?

Anyway, Kostya is not done yet, but how serious he makes his comeback is still up in the air. Whether or not he goes after the champs at 147 or he just makes one more showcase fight to go out on is anybody's guess. But he will fight at least once more, I'm certain. If he came back to beat Floyd or Judah at 147, well then, he'd be straight-up legendary.
