i won't. No excuses if Hopkins loses. Because if he's just outpointed and not beat down or ko'd (which i doubt dawson could do), he'll be back with another catchweight fight with a big name, two divisions smaller opponent, looking lik Ali, and ya'll will say he's the greatest thing since sliced bread again.

I think it would be fair to blame Hopkins age on losing to Dawson.

I mean people were calling him old against the likes of Taylor and Calzaghe but he was better then than he is now and it's been a few years since those fights.

Although Hopkins beat Pascal clearly in both fights, he certainly looked more vulnerable than he has in the past.

Dawson should get some credit for beating Hopkins especially if he wins clearly.

That was a competitive fight tho. And isn't that another fight that some Wright fans feel he won? I had Hopkins winning but I seen it only once. Also, he fought dirty in that fight. He headbutted Wright and caused a disgusting cut over Wrights eye.





Do you think that cut was unintentional? I doubt Wright thinks it was unintentional. He looked pissed as hell when it happened.

It certainly looked unintentional from what i remember.

Headbutts are more common when Orthodox and southpaws fight.

I don't recall anyone ever making a case for Hopkins winning based on Winky's facial damage.

I mean besides the cut which was caused by a headbutt, Wright's face was hardly marked much like Hopkins face.

The majority had Hopkins based on the fact he was better down the stretch. Wright faded over the last 4 rounds and Hopkins was able to take advantage.

Bad move by Chad Dawson here he likes to train with his family around I just think your suppose to be focus for a fight you can't have your family around he just seems to be his own boss. Even if he had a freddy Roach he would still lack in training but it would be freddy pulling the plug on him. I got to go with B hop in this fight he's 46 years old and he still winning un heard of in boxing.

Hopkins made me laugh with his comment about Steward not wanting to be attached to a loser. Lol. It will look like that is the case if Dawson doesn't shine in this fight. Even if Steward isn't his trainer anymore. It will look like Emmanuel made the wise decision and Steward is on a role right now with Andy Lee and Vlad despite their opposition and he probably doesn't want Dawson to break his streak by losing to Hopkins.

Winky didn't carry the weight good at all. just like oscar had no right to get up to 160 lbs to fight b-hop either.

Steward is overrated, he can't turn everyone into a great boxer. It was Scully who made Dawson the boxer he is today, not to mention Scully trained many amateur champions in Connecticut.
