Prime Calzaghe would have demolished Prime Jones

When they fought Calzaghe was a shot, blown up, glass handed shell of his former self.

Jones was back to near his best, coming off an impressive win, and this fight was supposed to be Jones big return to the top, due to Joe's Glass hands the fight was going to be all about "skill"

Trouble is it WAS all about skill as the far more talented Calzaghe Lacy'd Jones in front of his home fans.

Prime Joe would have knocked Jones block off

Calzaghe had 21 championship fights at 168lbs and ONLY 5 of his opponents were top-10 ranked Ring magazine super-middleweights when Calzaghe fought them. Calzaghe was lucky to get past Robbie Reid who he just about split-decisioned not to mention his gift decision against B-Hop - a fight in which he was made to look like an amateur. A shot-to-pieces Roy Jones Jr had him badly hurt. A prime Roy Jones humiliates Calzaghe.

This is what Calzaghe said on the prospect of fighting a prime Jones Jr: "I could probably give Jones a tough fight but I know my capabilities and unless I got paid the crown ***els I wouldn't want to risk it."

CAN you imagine IF Mayweather said the same on the prospect of fighting Pacquiao?

Calzaghe was OK but nowhere near great status.

Calzaghe ain't ****. He chose the safe route for his career. If he took the same risks as Roy, he'd have 5 losses.
