Speed and skill trumps power almost every time. You should know this. Your disrespect and dislike of RJJ is clouding your mind.

Both Jones and McClellan were renowned for their power back then, Jones knocked out his first 17 opponents and McClellan was winning most of his fights in one round. Both Jones and McClellan were renowned for their speed back then, Jones had exceptionally fast reflexes and when McClellan picked the right moment you didn't have a chance to get out of the way. Only McClellan was renowned for his pure boxing skill, which was FAR superior to Jones.

So, what are you trying to say? That McClellan's speed and skill trumps over Jones' power every time? It's not as simple as that, but yeah McClellan would of beat him again.

McClellan never missed punches 90-94, so why would he start missing punches all of a sudden against the guy your obsessed with? If you'd have said that Jones would be avoiding his punches then that's more sensible, but not true. McClellan was the best body puncher in the world, circled his opponents and picked the off well, excellent jab, excellent right cross, excellent lead right, and the best body puncher in the world.. all the punches that Jones would have problems with, and McClellan had better sense of timing and distance than anyone.


McClellan finds the right punch in the second round to get Jones out of there.
