Most Likely To Beat Roy Jones Jr?

Which of these particular choices were MOST LIKELY to defeat Jones Jr..

(I didn't include Julian Jackson or Frankie Liles because they'd of been probably reduced to just slim punchers chances, whereas the likes of Rocchigiani, Maske and Nunn were 6'3" southpaws, oh and Steve Collins would stick out like a sore thumb in a list like this lol, sorry Steve)

I'd say either Eubank or ****head...Benn also has JUST a punchers chance.

Benn always fought with heart and would have upped his game tremendously in any fight with Roy Jones Junior. Whilst i'm not saying he would've beaten Roy, i reckon that he stood as good a chance as any man.

crap I didn't pay attention to the years. I voted Eubank. Benn would be my 2nd choice.

Nigel Benn (1993-1995) - Would pressure pressure pressure throwing HUGE BOMBS!!!

That was always the way to beat Roy Jones... The people that Roy Jones fought were not of this style, or they were, but didn't have a the skills/confidence to execute it.

            Nigel Benn would have.

            IMO.

              hmm

Power succumbs to skill and speed almost every time. Gman and Benn are not the guys to beat Roy. Based on the years you gace though it's hard to say who would. Nunn and Eubank in their primes would be decent bets (not to win, but they'd have the "best" chance) but you didn't put the yrs for their primes. Based on the years you put the answer is pretty much up in the air, but better go with one of the tall southpaws.

When I put, for example, 1995-1996 for Maske. I mean if Maske had fought Jones Jr in 1995-1996, you know, so I mean the 1995-1996 Jones Jr. I mean the 1993-1995 Jones Jr for Benn, etc.

So if I put Nunn's prime, which was 1986-1988, Jones Jr hadn't even turned pro at that time. If I put 1990-1991 for Eubank, it's unfair because Jones Jr hadn't matured yet and would of been stopped by that Eubank at that time.

Unfortunately, Jones Jr desperately lacked boxing skill. He was a great athletic talent, but his fundamentals were awful. Sure, he had naturally faster reflexes than everybody else.. but technically he was poor. McClellan had much better boxing skills than Jones Jr, and McClellan had amazing timing.

As for Benn, he could do his stuff that Jones Jr couldn't. It's a lot more than just word games dude.
