And, hello, hello, along comes that good ol' party-****** Sergio.....
WBC Diamond middleweight champion Sergio Martinez is willing to strain down to 150-pounds for a possible fight with Manny Pacquiao in 2012. Allegedly, Pacquiao

Manny, hey Manny..... where'd that guy go ?

I wonder what the official Team Pacquiao excuse will be this time ?
did pac say he still isn't going to fight sergio even at 150?

you are a real dumb dude!!! The real issue here is, Martinez is a double standard when it comes to weight limit issues! Martinez knew his limit at 160 lbs! and people should respect this! however, martinez doesn't know how to respect others' fighters weight limitations! He is calling Pac for instance for 154lbs, meaning he is enticing for Pac to fight higher than his natural weight class, yet a thing he is afraid of doing so in challenging fighters 1 step northward of his 160lbs weight class! Pac is NOT a natural JMW fighter as he had amitted after testing fighting fighter at JMW, first he said, he was hurt much; and 2nd and most importantly, he fought Margarito at JMW while he was at 145lbs! meaning, he was not even at the limit of Welter, much more not even meted the minimum weight of JMW when he fought Margarito at JMW! But the idea here is, Pac is known of challenging his weight class from Flyweight to JMW, until he realized he is overstretched at JMW that's why he returned back to WW to where he is more competitive, though still in my opinion, he is not even a natural Welter because he could not able to meet the maximum 147lbs of welter, and much more not able to inflate 2lbs or more on fight night! Martinez ceased challenging higher weightclass fighters, and unlike Pac, he is afraid testing himself fighting SMW figthters before saying "he doesn't belong to SMW! Well, if Martinez respected his weight limit, so through with him respecting others' weight class limit, esp. for those who proved and said, he doesn't belong there!

I liked Martinez and i said before, he can beat Froch and Kessler. And i see him beating Bute. But this is a b*tch move.

So Sergio keeps calling out Pac who can't even make past 147 on a catchweigh fight against Margarito. As far as those saying Hopkins was fighting smaller fighters at light heavyweight, remember he came from middleweight. BHOP moved up 2 weight divisions and beat Tarver. And now BHOP is facing Dawson.

Martinez is going from 160 to 168. light heavyweight to cruiser is drastic......it's a 20 plus weight gain. martinez would only be going up 8 pounds WTF. also heavyweight is that much more drastic.......

your points have been defused because martinez is obviously the one being the hypocrite in this situation & comparing hopkins weight jump to martinez's makes little to no sense. there are new found divisions in martinezs weight jump........they were not there for hopkins....when hopkins moved up he fought world class opponents.......martinez fought cab drivers & bums.

            stop the madness already.
There was no Jr Middleweight division in the 90's? What?

I'm not sure if you're serious about the talks of all these make believe new weight-classes. But, then again you might be. And, the other part of your post reading comprehension would help a lot.

if the last fight he held at 154lbs would be the 8th, then it's correct. Nothing wrong of claiming on this!

Correct! you can not deny history, while at 145lbs, Pac fought Margarito at catch-weight of 152lbs of which a title was at stake, that Pac won!

still that is above 147lbs that pac will fight. He abandoned the idea of WW vs. JMW because of weight disparity he experienced when he fought Margarito! Though he won, he was hurt from Margarito's punches! Enough for 1 try, afterall, boxing is a sport not for suicide! But i suggest, Martinez should also try fighting once to SMW, just like Pac did fighting once in JMW, before Martinez will dare telling he is not belong to SMW, so he will know what he is talking!

, Might be Martinez deaf, or plainly scared fighting others that posed true oppositions! Pac said after fighting Margarito, he will not come back to JMW because of what he experienced thast hurts him in the so called "WW vs. JMW", that's why he abandoned his title at JMW! Why not offer Bhop for 163 catchweight then if Martinez true to his word challenging Pac at 150lbs????

Floyd vs Martinez at somewhere around 154 is ok, but I do not like Pac vs Martinez. Pac is really too small, at the same time Martinez is too small for the 168 guys, look at his fight vs Pavlik he looked tiny there and the top 168 fighters are even slightly bigger than Pavlik...

The belt was vacant and up for grabs for two fighters who weren't even ranked at JMW, it was a fraud of a title-shot. Martinez was the true beltholder, he should've faced him for it if he wanted to make real history. Hell, he should've defended it against Saul Alvarez since he was next in line to grabbing the belt. The catchweight was also at 150 lbs. not 152 lbs.

But about this Martinez situation, if he isn't willing to go up to 168 or fight B-Hops at a catchweight, he shouldn't be asking Pacquiao, a guy who doesn't even walk around at 150 lbs. to fight him. Also, If he chooses to ignore guys like Pirog and Quillin, he should just move down to 154 and literally take over that division. There's guys like Alvarez, Margarito, and Angulo who can really help him get a nice paycheck. Fight them all in Cali and watch the fans and checks roll in!

I am not convinced that Martinez can beat Froch or Kessler.

They are fkn HUGE compared to him, it is totally absurd, in fact it is blatant fanboy bull****, to suggest that it is easier for the large JMW Martinez to take on Froch, than it is for Manny to fight Sergio at 150.

Manny is supposed to be a P4P champion, Manny is supposed to be an 8-division titlist, Manny has already fought for Sergio's title at 150 and he fought a guy who had already beat Martinez.

Martinez is ALREADY punching above his weight at 160, he has already cleaned out the best opposition at middleweight aside from a couple of green kids...... now he wants a payday, and he wants to beat the cheap lamer who snuck in the back door and stole his title.

In retrospect, it is hilarious to think about how Berto used to get bashed for not fighting the top guys, and yet Manny is adored for doing the exact same thing
