i honestly think abraham has a good shot at sergio too - abraham is the same height as sergio, so it won't be like froch keeping him on the outside - he can get to sergio easier.

to be honest, i like this fight - and i think macklin can beat sergio. . . segio is so vulnerable it's not even funny. . . he gets hit WAYY too much and WAY too easily. . . it's just everybody he has fought has tried to fight him from the outside, which is a bad idea. .. take it to him on the inside where he is helpless. . . ASK POPPA TONY, his daddy!!

also, lou shouldn't waste the matchup of lee vs. macklin - put them BOTH fighting somebody else on the same card on st. paddy's. . . have macklin vs. martinez, and lee vs. quillin (IF he can get by mcewan)

i'd rather see macklin/lee, it'd be good to have two irish middleweights clash around st. patty's day. perhaps rubio, pirog, or abraham can be martinez's next opponent. imo i thought sturm did enough to win against macklin. he was the busier fighter but sturm had the more effective shots and macklin let the last rounds get away from him. it was a close fight.

LOL antonio is sergio's daddy! he had to knock him through the ropes to teach him a lil respect - he seems to have lost that, though! anyway, sergio now refers to him as poppa tony! ill have that bet on either macklin or margs. . .

i doubt sergio will fight macklin or lee. . . he wants bigger names - sturm - hell sturm's just as bad as sergio so forget that. . . i wouldn't mind abraham, or rubio at all. BUT PIROG is the WBO champ and THE BEST MW challenger in the eyes of the fans.

i just think more irish would come out to see their countrymen fight OTHER PEOPLE, rather than each other. . . i don't think lee and macklin are interested in fighting each other. .

i still have macklin winning 115-113 (over sturm). put way too many early and middle rounds in the bank.

doesn't surprise me in the least. . . Sturm = Sergio. . . Only interested in maximizing profit at minimized risk. . . he'll claim it's a "tune-up", but his next two fights will be the same quality (or lack thereof) opposition

Macklin is no match for Martinez.

Sergio should fight somebody more talented like Pirog, N'Jikam or Golovkin (Proksa is good too, but needs a couple more fights before facing someone like Martinez).

I think the general consensus from the real fans is that martinez NEEDS TO FIGHT PIROG. . . it makes perfect sense. . . financially, HBO is paying sergio over 2 million dollars for his next fight. . . if they held the fight in russia, or even germany, the fight would sell 10k-15k at the gates, and the russian tv money, and german and other euro money would likely increase sergio's purse to around the 3-4 million dollar range. . .

Im tired of the UK bums talking crap, first McKloskey talking crap about how bad he made Khan look (by losing every round), then Barker starts talking mad crap how he is going to KO Martinez and punish him, yet all he did was go full defense and just try to survive and then quit, now Macklin is talking crap.

It seems they all have the David Haye disease, too bad UK fighters dont fight as good as they talk.

Will there ever be a UK guy who can actually fight? Who can KO people?

It seems UK Boxing = Fury, Khan, Froch with any decent talent, the rest are 140lb bums with a KO% of 12%
