Mayweather vs. Mitchell in non-title Welter fight confirmed

November 19th. Excuse me if this has been posted before, but I haven't seen it. If this is Mayweather's rise to Welter, then will he drop back down to face Hatton or is that now out of the window?

I just lost a lot of respect for Mayweather. Truly.

I don't think Mayweather wants to fight anyone at 140lbs.

I think he's got two fighters on his mind and has had for a long time.

Oscar De La Hoya & Shane Mosley.

You think he wants match-ups that he can win quite easily? No disrespect to those two gents, but they are tailor-made for Mayweather.

I'd be rather annoyed if Floyd decided to stay at Welter. The prospect of Mayweather vs Hatton is pant-wettingly good and it would be a real shame if we didn't get to see such a fight.

If Floyd stays at Welter then he has dodged Hatton and dissapointed millions of fight fans.

For the record i think Floyd will win with an easy decision.

You can blame Hatton. I mean is it not more obvious after seeing him against Gatti in person, that Hatton wants no part of Floyd?

They both generate a lot of money, and they are both low risk fights.

Hatton turned down PBF twice. Guess who's dodging who?? What makes you think PBF is scared of Hatton??

Hatton wants to fight Floyd, simple as. Hatton may be fighting Carlos Maussa, but that is a title unification. Floyd is going to fight a worthless bout at a different weight, that just seems to suggest that Floyd is planning on ducking away from Ricky.

Why did he say he wanted a year when he's going after Maussa now?
