Vera was game and had the right idea the last few rounds, but just wasn't fast or accurate enough.

Lee was just a class above Vera and has improved since the first time they fought. He did get hit with some pretty clean punches and around the 8th or 9th he looked a little gassed, but did the right thing by getting on his bike, holding, and landing very flush counters at the right moments.

Good for Lee to avenge his only loss. Not sure how well he'll do once he fights the top guys in his division.

I like Lee, I think he's a decent fighter but I don't see a lot of talent in him.
I was really impressed with Lee last night. I agree he's still a step below a few of the top MW's and there are a few MW's his level who due to style would beat him i suspect. Tough good pressure fighters like Macklin, Khurtsidze, Rubio would beat him. Jacobs and Lemieux might also best him too.

Golovkin would absolutely brutalize Lee. HE couldn't even deal with Mcewen's pressure and power (and he essentialy has none) for christ sake.

I think he's a little more than a club fighter and loses to almost any serious top ten Middle right now. He might beat Chavez Jr.

no, boxxee!!! golovkin, unlike mcewan, is SHORT and SQUAT. . . Ouma outboxed him for christ sake! Lee would pick him off from the outside all night. . . clinch up on the inside. . .

Only MW's I see that are clearly a cut above are Pirog and Martinez. . .

Im currently watching the fight, Lee has fast reactions but he's flat footed. Maybe against a more atheletic fighter this will be a disadvantage.

Golovkin is 5'11. Mcewen is 6'1 and thin. Golovkin was able to outmuscle and wrestle inside matching strength with guys like Gaidarbekov, Dirrell, Bute when he was 20-22 yrs old. Lee still doesn't know how to fight inside or clinch and would be mauled by Golovkin's strength. Lee would not be able to handle Golovkin's punching power, physical strength, or be able to keep him at on the outside. Even on the outside i believe Golovkin would outbox him.
