I have to agree with many of the guys here, JuanMa has actually gotten worse as his career has gone on. He looked terrible against a weak opponent in Oliver. Lopez was waaay too slow. I can't believe how many punches JuanMa ate in two rounds, even though Oliver spent much of the time on the canvass! If it wasn't for Lopez's power...forget it.
Before, I thought JuanMa stood a good chance of winning the rematch with Salido. Not anymore. What were Lopez and his people doing these last few months, playing Playstation? "Siri's" camp must be salivating....
The truth is, you never know what the future holds, but, right now, Lopez's career certainly doesn't appear to hold the promise it once did. There may never even be the once highly anticipated "showdown" with Gamboa.Comment

Yep that's exactly what I thought yesterday when I was watching Lopez - Oliver. His defense seems to get worse every time he gets in the ring, and he was extremely slow. In fact he was stunned by Oliver in the first round, and if Oliver had more power he would have KOd Juanma pretty easily. I don't see how Lopez is going to beat Salido, in fact I think that Lopez is going to be easier to beat for Salido right now, something like Segura - Calderon, where in the second fight Calderon was just destroyed faster by Segura.Comment

What defense?
I wouldn't call him average but He is not great. He is just good.Comment

I know, right? They're always joshing me about how I can root for someone as "crappy" as Cotto. Ellos dicen: "Cotto ya es una porquería de boxeador...mira la pelea con Pacquiao."LMAO, Cotto>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Juanma by a country mile!!!
I have never seen Cotto perform out of his caracther, his skills are always there, lol
Anyways, juanma needs to hire Freddi Roac, Nacho or Nassim, stay away from the ring for 4 months practicing in the gym fight 1 or 2 gimmes to practice and then go for the big boys!!!
And I'm thinking: "C'mon now...who's looked against Pacquiao in the last three years anyway besides Márquez in 2008? Nooooooooooobody."
It's like Kellerman said on the Cotto-Foreman broadcast (referring to Cotto): "He lost to Pacquiao, but...so what? That's like losing to Roy Jones, Jr. in his prime, I mean...what are ya' gonna' do?"
But anyway...in regards to Juanma, he needs to ditch the trainers and concentrate on his career and forget about his corner's feelings and whatnot. It's his career and his money.
My father and I were talking about this yesterday and he was saying: "Si Juanma sigue asi, dentro de cuatro años (y estoy siendo generoso), Juanma será reducido a peleador en carteleras pequeñas por poco dinero."
Juanma NEEDS to switch something, because his trainers obviously haven't corrected absolutely anything. Either that...or...Juanma was never really that good.
I'm hoping he can fix those huge flaws, but I doubt it.
