He was better before the Ponce fight, after that he just fell in love with his power and abandoned technique and defense. I believe Ponce would ko him now and if he fights like this Salido will probably ko him again too.

Juanma didn't look good at all. Horrible defense, wide looping punches. He needed to put some rounds in and be smart. I can't believe people thought he would beat Gamboa. The speed difference is to much and Juanma leaves himself wide open.

Its sad to say, but he looks better in his 15th and 16th fights than right now. He felt in love with his power, he regressed his technique so bad, that Rocky Martinez looked way better than him last night. He doesnt use his jab anymore, he doesnt use hsi legs, his combinatios doesnt look as sharp!!!

Anyways, the guy is a total mess. He went from P4P caliber start, to WTF???

He needs to dump that bunch of ******s he have as trainers, he needs to stop being arrogant and humble himself. Admit he needs help with better trainers and look for it!!

He is losing his fan base to, a lot of people who was at teh fight told me, that most of the fans there, where saying that Juanma just sucks now and they wont be buying PPVs or tickets to his fights unless he shows improvements!!

I hope Arum forces him to dump his trainers and find a trainer, I say NAcho Beristain, Freddi Roach or Pernell Whitaker would do!!

Like many have said Juanma's techniqhe has regressed badly, he is slower, no defence, he doesn't move at all. Juanma was a future superstar now he is on his way to becoming just another guy. He needs a new team but I doubt he changes it.

I think you're a little late. Should've done it several months ago like me when people still THOUGHT Juanma had a chance in a rematch.

I was pretty sure Juanma would lose again, the match last night just solidified for me.

Juanma ain't going anywhere. When you get stunned, albeit briefly, by Mike Oliver who only has 23% KO rate, your chin's pretty shaky. In addition to that, Juanma looked sloppy and had no coordination in his punches. ON TOP OF THAT, his DEFENSE is non-existant...throwing punches wildly and his chin wide open. You could even add slow in there.

Juanma's got power but if you put someone like Salido in there who can actually TAKE a punch...Juanma's a sitting duck.

I was watching the fight at my in-law's house and everybody there (most of them really casual fans) was saying that Juanma has become like Cotto: slow, no defense, taking too many punches, a bum...

I'm like WTF?! Cotto has never looked THAT bad in his career like Juanma did last night in a gimme fight.

              Cotto>Juanma

And yes, Juanma DID fall in love with his power. I think that 2008 year with his three 1st round KO's caused him to believe that he could knock out anyone. He actually fights better in his past fights. He really HAS looked worser and worser as each fight has gone on. With probably Luevano as the only exception, ever since that Mtagwa debacle, he's been stunned/gone down in every single fight.

Watching the fight again Juanma's chin is so wide open even someone like Malignaggi could KO him.

If Juanma was to fight Salido again like he fought last night, he would get stopped again.

He badly needs to work on tucking his chin in and keeping his hands up. He also needs to start boxing again instead of trying to knock everyone out.

LMAO, Cotto>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Juanma by a country mile!!!

I have never seen Cotto perform out of his caracther, his skills are always there, lol

Anyways, juanma needs to hire Freddi Roac, Nacho or Nassim, stay away from the ring for 4 months practicing in the gym fight 1 or 2 gimmes to practice and then go for the big boys!!!
