i thought it was a good fight. barker turned out to be well prepared and gave the champ a few early rounds of problems. unfortunately when martinez came into the rhythm and barker gassed, the outcome became apparent.
wondering what's next for martinez now.......

Totally agree, I want to see more of Barker really, he looked fast, but Sergio hit harder than euro levels opponents.

Barker had a very good strategy and at one time, he was up in the scorecards. What does a P4P performance actually mean ? In the end, he won by KO. Job done!

                  Neither was Pacquiao - Clottey.

                  What should we do?

The difference between Pacquaio-Clottey and Marintez-Barker is Clottey is a good fighter with World Level experience and a bit of it.

Darren Barker has only had a handful of fights above Domestic Level and has only fought bums his entire career up to last night.

Martinez was made to look distinctly average.

If you are going to hold Martinez to the standard Pacquiao and Mayweather are held to, which many of you argue he should be, that was a disappointing fight from him. I don't hold it against him, because everyone but Pacquiao and Mayweather have fights where someone unexpectedly makes them work, but if you criticize Pacquiao for Clottey and Mosley and think Mayweather looked vulnerable because of a few punches against Mosley and Ortiz, you should not be praising Martinez for this fight.

People bring up Clottey and Mosley, yet those two were world class fighters that Pacquiao shut out. Barker won some rounds against Martinez, and made him average at times.
