Lol at people thinking he could beat Ortiz. He couldn't even beat Judah.

I don't know when Matthyse became this unbeatable beast, but he has done nothing thus far.

Ortiz would collapse mentally, just like he did against Mayweather and Maidana. That kid needs to sort his brains out.

Joint all time record for the most knockdowns in so few fights.
Knocked the tough, veteran Corley down 9 times, now that is some going.

Getting robbed against Judah & Alexander didn't do him any favours. If only he got the nod in those fights.

I have a lot of faith in the guy personally, he's a more well rounded version of Maidana IMO
I think he's well capable of beating just about anybody at 140 providing he don't get a hometown decision against him. One things for sure, he's not going to quit or going to an easy fight for anybody.

To answer the O.P would this be at 140 or 147? IMO it don't matter much I think either weight Matthysse stops him.

What are your thoughts on this match up?
I think Ortiz wins, although I like Matt's and think he is a good boxer..He is just not active enough to beat a fighter like Ortiz..I got Ortiz by UD..

Really like the argentinian, however, at 147 ortiz rolls right through him. The man entered the ring at 164. Too big for lucas.

Doesn't make sense for lucas, best bet would be a top 140 lber. I personally would like him to take out his countrymate
