Speaking of which, where the **** are those #s? Hbo hasn't taken more than 10 days to announce buy rates, they're usually out within a week, it's going on 2 weeks for floyd-ortiz.

Any word on the Star Power PPV buys? Been two weeks and nothing from HBO or Golden Boy! Could it have done that bad?

I have been in touch with Richard Schaefer and HBO regularly. They simply do not have enough data yet from some huge systems to make an accurate report of the numbers. What people dont realize is that when numbers are announced they are done based on years of experience and extrapalation of numbers based on comparing fights to other similar fights and totals in certain markets. For whatever reason this fight has been harder than others. That said both Schaefer and HBO, without saying a specific number they do not have yet, both have told me that without question the fight is well over 1 million buys. The big question is how much over. They want to announce a number that they believe will be close enough to the real number and since it may be 1.3 or more and edge close to 2nd all-time non heavyweight they want to be right. By the same token, it could be 1.2 or 1.25 and not hit 1.3. They just want to be correct from what they both tell me. But the rumors and innuendo that it did poorly is just a load of crap.

arum can make floyd a priority all he wants, but if floyd keeps making it difficult what can you do? floyd is his own boss, he can make this fight happen if he wants to. who are we kidding?

guys, let's move on and forget the fight.

Looks like Richie Rich is giving Heavy D the ole run around

HBO was able to tabulate 1.25 mil for the Cotto, DLH, and Margs fights with Pac and 1-1.4 mil for Marquez and Mosley for Floyd within 6-10 days but it's taken 2+ weeks to tabulate 1.3 mil for Floyd-Ortiz?

                Ok, whatever you say.

ESPN and Heavy D already printed the story about the Pacquiao-Mosley fight but for whatever reason, fighthype knows how many buys it did but everyone else is still waiting on Schaefer and HBO to count the buys 2 weeks later, when they usually have the number 6-10 days after the fight.

And I had nothing riding on the Pacquiao PPV #s. The Comedian and I have a gentleman's bet and we'd both like to know the results, but they sure are taking their sweet time.
