On a serious note.....Floyd did look slower, and Ortiz had a good chance taking the fight to him. Now, i wouldnt bet against Floyd to lose had that 4th round KO never happened, but Ortiz was coming on. Now if you want to be a zombie fan boy and just say that Floyd was killing (yes he was winning fight) Ortiz, Ortiz didnt show any signs of slowing down.
As for the stats that Floyd nut huggers point out.....very misleading.....compubox is not some magic machine in gloves that determines when a clean punch is landed....hit gloves, grazing, body shots that hit mainly elbow....get counted towards score alot of the time. Yes Floyd was hitting Ortiz with good shots, but with Floyd being more aggressive in this fight, be objective, and consider that he could've ran into trouble against a younger fighter that wasn't going to gas in 2 rounds.
End of the day, I still think Floyd wins (via late TKO maybe), but with his more aggressive style this fight, it did make him look more hittable. Floyds a flat footed fighter. What so many of yall get confused on is the fact that Floyds torso reacts when he shells, and takes tiny side step (only when being attacked)....its called flexibility, and reflex.
So, while i expect the moron Floyd fan boys to tell me im a hater, and dont know crap......this aint directed towards yall...its for people who are objective, and not obsessed with just ONE fighter.Comment

u cant expect ppl not to call u out if ur gonna sit here cand call floyd a flat footed fighter. i dont think u understand what the term means. he wasnt hopping on his feet, but he was far from flat footed. he was spacing ortiz very well. and he was using his footwork to do it. a flat footed fighter cant do that. now u go on and call me a floyd fanboy. mebbe i am, but i kno that if ur calling him flat footed, ur not making much sense.
I do respect your opinion though.....Comment

Floyd was being more aggresive this fight than in recent memory. He was forcing the action, e****ially when in close range more than half the time. When i compare movement, i compare him to someone like B-Hop....you dont have the quickest reflexes anymore, but you use smarts to win. Im not saying Floyd aint smart, im just saying that, I really see Floyd being a Roy Jones if he continues to fight. Like Roy, he relied on physical gifts (****** fast reflexes) than actual ringmanship.

i think ppl think ortiz had his moments, which he did, but we all kno how floyd fights. he gets better, sharper, and more capable of frustrating the other guy, as the fight goes on. this fight didnt appear to be any different. im sure ortiz probably would have had a few more flurries like he did in the 4th, but they amounted to nothing really. in the end, i think he was on his way to being stopped. he was getting hit too clean and too often. and i am an ortiz fan btw, i thought hed be more competitive honestly, but im not gonna sit here and say he belonged in that ring. j ro was one of the ppl i remember being adamant that he didnt, and i think i agree now. i was wrong.
i think the same thing will happen to khan but it would be a much tougher fight for him due to the differences between khan and ortiz. but i see no real scenario where khan wins that fight.Comment

i honestly think floyd is a mixture of both roy and b hop. hes has the best of both, he has the intelligence and the defensice mindset of a hopkins but the physical gifts of a roy jones. i honestly feel that if he wanted to, he could fight at a high level for at least 3 more years. and the version i saw against ortiz was arguably better than the version i saw against marquez and just about as good as the version i saw against mosely.

I to said from day one as well, that Ortiz was made for Floyd with his come forward style and almost next to zero defense. As for Khan....i think thats a fight that many people really underestimate. Khan has great power, and super fast hands. Ill be honest.....im not so sure Floyd would be a lock to win for the first time. I personally would bet on him if i absolutely had to, but I would be very nervous. Either way....great fight, and i would love to see it....great promoting.....Roach Vs Mayweather.....Floyd vs the Pac student.....could be as big a fight as Pac Vs Floyd.Comment
