the smart people will give them credit

and who says the loser cant make ajusments and comebasck strong to be a champ

then that would makke the win looke relly good

    fighters are supposed to fight

i understand brining a guy along the right way

but once they r ranked and part of the top of the division

there shouldnt be any ducking or doging

more positives than negatives in these type of fights IMO

You've got a good point, pimp and I understand.

But if they were suddenly call it off, who knows when (and IF) they'd come back together to fight?

And plainly speaking, I personally wouldn't be more pumped to see them starch opponents in back-to-back fights. That'd be like a showcase card. We don't want showcases of skills, we want fights, and fun fights at that.

This has action written all over it...absolutely no exagerration when I post this.

This fight is going to be crazy as long as it lasts.

But I get what you're trying to say, Kirkland has actually more to win than Angulo. Angulo wins, people will call Kirkland a hypejob. Kirkland wins...he's back on track again.

So...I don't care. Don't act so butthurt, dude. Angulo's got this and he gets full credit from me if he wins.

Bottom line: Let's just be happy that this one of the few occasions where a modern dream fight has materialized.

the fights i mentioned arent show case fights they are grudge matches. They would get a chance to get revenge on the guys that beat them. Both are coming of wins and I think they are winnable fights but risky fights.

I admire Kirkland for taking this calculated risk. It's actually a pretty big risk for him. A KO loss will set him back immensely but a victory puts him back into contention and gets people talking about him again....

Also, Angulo may or may not be rusty from the long layoff he's had. He fought recently but the fight only lasted a round or two, so it may be a good time for Kirkland to fight him.
