Dana White is correct. If these promoters always try to cut the legs out of one of their peers right before one of their shows, who benefits? nobody and it just ruins the integrity of the sport.

Partly true, but as usual, you conveniently glossed over the actual point.

Everything that LdB said, is 100% correct, and you know it nut-hugger..... regardless as to whether Lou is tarred with the same brush.

Lou is tasked with making the very same risk/reward trade-off decisions that every promoter is required to make, and he will on occasion prefer a business decision over a sporting one..... but comparing the obvious risk/reward decisions with the way that Bob Arum deviously manipulates fighters with offers of that big payday and breaks his back to keep everything in-house..... is naive.

Bob Arum is a cancer on the sport of boxing.

I struggle to see how you could be so concerned about "MY BELOVED SPORT OF BOXING", and not wish Arum an early retirement. And if he aint gonna retire, then I hope that lying cheating old **** dies a slow painful death.

1) He acts like someone put a gun to his and Sergio's head and forced him to sign the fight contract for Barker (following Dzinziruk). Truth is it's another easy fight for big money (HBO throwing down $ 2 mil on this bull**** and Maravilla's side is getting the lion's share). They got offers from the likes of Pirog and Bute, but they were forced to fight some no name European journeyman? **** outta here.

2) NO ONE in America knew Pacquiao existed before the Ledwaba fight, the HBO commentators didn't even know how to pronounce his name. It was Arum's promotional skills that made him an international megastar (as he did for Oscar, Floyd, Cotto, etc and so on).

Lou needs to stop menstruating every time he gets his feelings hurt and start promoting. Then maybe he wouldn't have to give away 2 free tickets for every pair of socks bought at Modell's.
