Partly true, but as usual, you conveniently glossed over the actual point.

Everything that LdB said, is 100% correct, and you know it nut-hugger..... regardless as to whether Lou is tarred with the same brush.

Lou is tasked with making the very same risk/reward trade-off decisions that every promoter is required to make, and he will on occasion prefer a business decision over a sporting one..... but comparing the obvious risk/reward decisions with the way that Bob Arum deviously manipulates fighters with offers of that big payday and breaks his back to keep everything in-house..... is naive.

I struggle to see how you could be so concerned about "MY BELOVED SPORT OF BOXING", and not wish Arum an early retirement. And if he aint gonna retire, then I hope that lying cheating old **** dies a slow painful death.

Boxers (and all professional athletes) need to make as much money as they can in a short period of time because you can't box forever. Its up to the promoter to make the biggest paydays possible for his fighters. There ain't no pension in boxing. Bob Arum makes his fighters the biggest payday in boxing.

Now why would Arum put Pac, Cotto or Marg in with Martinez when 1) hes not even in the same weight class and 2) he brings zero dollars to the table. It doesn't make boxing sense or business sense. Dibella is gonna hate cuz hes jealous and if Martinez was smart he would've signed with Arum 10 years ago.

If I could make just two changes to boxing, the first would be to torch the multitudes of sanctioning bodies, the second would be to torch Bob Arum.

First off, Pac and Marquez routinly weigh within 5 pounds of each other on the day of the fight. They are basically the same size.

Second, Marquez is a surefire first ballot HOFer, Martinez isn't even close

Third, boxing isn't just a sport, its a business. It it didn't make money than the sport wouldn't exist any more. So Pac is fighting a sure first ballot HOFer and is gonna sell over 1 million PPV's. That something Martinez has never done and Mayweather hasn't done in years.

And Fourth, how the first rule of business treating you? You know, the one about not paying the feds income tax. I wonder how thats working out for your buddies Wesley Snipes and Ja Rule lmao
