Martinez should unify all the middleweight championship before calling out Pacquiao and Sucker Puncher Gayweather because his accomplishments is still a little "green" in that division. Nobody knows SexySergio outside boxing forums and websites. He needs to make a "Big" impact on his fights to get notice, otherwise, he will fade to oblivion without getting any "money" shot?!

They would all out weigh him by 10 or more pounds come fight night too.

Going back to 154 is a good move for him rather than moving up.
agree with this highlighted , but boggling me is with latest likes Arthur Abraham at 5'9 who is also a SMW, Very good example is James Toney 5"9-5"10-ish man who is a middleweight up heavies although we cant force Martinez to be like that, Martinez been Jr Middle career i think he needs to step up for last time @ smw i guess.

        I consider:

A soft fight to start the year as always.

Timothy Bradley - easy fight easy payday.

Then a hard fight to end the year as always.

Sergio Martinez - legendary status fight for Pacquiao.
pac too scared to fight anyone legit...remember it has to be someone from top rank....his opponent has to either throw the fight or come in damaged and weight drained...if the opponent is not damaged and weight drained then you know he's been paid by arum a large amount of money not to fight back.

Why does Martinez give Floyd so much credit? This is the thing that annoys me about him. Any time Floyd or Pac is mentioned, Sergio will say, I want them both, Floyd will fight me, Pacquiao will not. When have you ever heard Floyd say he will fight Martinez? Floyd is the biggest cherry-picker of opponents out there. There's more chance of Brandon Rios signing on to fight Martinez than there is of Floyd doing so. The only fight Floyd's had above welterweight is with a 34 year old De La Hoya, and that was closer than it should have been. Not in a million years is he gonna fight a beast like Sergio Martinez. Not on your life. Pacquiao would be more likely to fight him. I think Martinez might believe stroking Floyd's ego will gain him a shot at the Pretty Boy. It doesn't, and it won't. But Martinez's attitude perplexes me. And he acts like Pacquiao is ducking him. Jesus, Martinez is a middleweight! Pacquiao at this moment in time is a 140 lb'er who bulks up to fight in the welterweight division. For the past couple of years now, according to Ariza, is ideal fighting weight is 140, but he takes the challenges of welterweight on....and yet Martinez criticizes him because he won't again jump up in weight?

Oh, and for the record, if Martinez boils his body down to 150 pounds to fight Pacquiao or Floyd, he will be a shell of his self and get pumelled, particularly if he were to fight someone as busy, quick and destructive as Pacquiao.

and he claims to be the SECOND BEST FIGHTER in the world??? you can't be serious??? i don't even think HE believes this!!

i mean, he's basically spamming boxing. he's like the internet messageboard troll of boxing. he's pretty much emailing viagra links to every single boxing fan in the world is what he's doing.

              just stop it.
I agree with this....prior to 2009 he was fighting chumps....just look at his BoxRec
              http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?cat...human_id=14429

People say this is the guy who is Mayweathers biggest challenge?..lol

Martinez is hyped up but he needs to step up to better competition. I mean why not fight Sterm @160 or Angulo@154?

Cotto already said he doesn't want none of Martinez because the money ain't there. Martinez would put Cotto in a coma and I'm willing to bet on that.

Come on man. Stop ****ting on Martinez. Dude is a good, solid fighter. I'm willing to bet that Pac nor Floyd would have put Williams out like that with one punch. Just because he wants a piece Floyd don't make him unworthy. Sound a lilish lilish like a Pac fan. Martinez deserves props because in actuality he was robbed in the Cintron and first Paul williams fights.
