WBC silver seems to be a cross between the WBC intercontinental ,and WBC regular titles. sorta like a title for the mandatory contender. but it's weird. what's next? a WBC bronze title given to the 2nd contender? is this a boxing contest or a beauty contest?

Yea they do that, some boxing media do point out the difference but in promotions for a fight they for sure do that.

And I think silver belt is basically the number 1 contender for the regular belt.
