the de la hoya that fought mayweather in 07 vs the current mayweather

I think it would make for a pretty exciting fight with how mayweathers been fighting as of late compared to how he was fighting in 2007..thoughts?

For some reason i was thinking about this earlier on as well, dont see floyd stopping him but still beating him badly.

It would be even closer then it was last time. Yeah Mayweather won but it was close, in no way did he dominate.

Mayweather is lucky he fought DLH when he did, he barely outpointed a past prime 34 year old DLH. Had Oscar been in his prime, 29-30, he would have won.

Same could be said for Mayweathers fight with Mosley. Mayweather fought him at 38, and well past his prime. Had Mosley been in his prime, its very possible he KOs Mayweather in that 2nd round.

Oscar wins no rounds this time. The current Mayweather fights at 147, so Oscar can enjoy being weight drained.

Mayweather only fights boxers past their prime he would get his a** knocked out by a Prime DLH and Mosley.

de la hoya was past it in 07, same outcome but floyd would probably get a clear ud this time, he fought too defensively in the first fight

Lol and Floyd was also in his absolute prime when he fought Mosley? And he was at his prime weight class at 154 when he fought DLH?

Don't discredit Floyd when he was calling those two in 2005 and even before, but Bob Arum wouldn't do business with DLH because he had a grudge against him after DLH left Top Rank. Same with Mosley being a GBP partner, that's why those fights didn't happen. Floyd was more than willing to get in the ring with both of them in their prime and get two good pay days. Best thing Floyd did was leave Bob Arum. The fights might have happened too late, but they happened, and Floyd won them both, and combined the fights sold an estimated 4 million PPV buys. That's a lot of viewers for a couple of fights against opponents that are now discredited on his resume, but were boogie monsters before he fought them.

And Pacquiao fought those guys when they were even further past their prime. You cant say they were old when Mayweather fights them and turn around and act like they were cream of the crop when Manny fights them. Double Standard
