Make no mistake, Cotto is ducking Martinez. Hes not big or good enough to compete with him, and he'd get his ass kicked. That's not to diminish his warrior spirit or the fact he has one of the toughest resumes in the sport.
I Am Tired Of Martinez Bull****

people DEFEND sergio for not taking on fighters who aren't big names, but BLAST on bigger name fighters who don't want to fight sergio. . . :shrug:
if he really wants to fight Cotto, he should have been fighting at 154 for his past two, three fights, rather than making dzinz come up, and then taking on an extremely overmatched fighter at 160. . . it's like he is confused. . .
I am glad Cotto is fighting Margarito. Better than limp ass Yuri Foreman or living off one victory but getting his ass kicked against anyone good, Ricardo Mayorga.
How can people talk about Cotto's resume at 154.... it's not all that.
I am sure if Margs beats Cotto, he will have no problems fighting Sergio.
If Cotto wins, wonder what he'll do.
Probably not fight Sergio.Comment

I've been saying it all along. Cotto isn't what his stans make him out to be. Yes, when I buy his fights, he gives me my money's worth BUT he basically is there for the money just like FLOYD/PAC. The warrior that fights anyone is just crap. His resume at 147 is better than others but 140/154 is super overrated.I am glad Cotto is fighting Margarito. Better than limp ass Yuri Foreman or living off one victory but getting his ass kicked against anyone good, Ricardo Mayorga.

that's the plan that all fighters have. that's what martinez is trying to do. that's why martinez hasn't bothered with pirog. anyone who tries to spin this against one fighter or another need to get them themselves a shrink.On the real though;
Cotto isn't scared of anyonee, he's just being mindful of his career, his money, and making sure his family is set, so he won't have to come out of retirement in five or ten years and get hurt. Arum has been keeping him away from the really tough fights that have been offered on purpose, because he wants to see Cotto get the maximum amount of money (for both his and Cottos benefit) before he retires.
This is Arums gameplan, and while you can tell Cotto doesn't love it, he's trusting Arum and knows it's the best move for him.
this ain't rocky; these are real prize fighters.Comment

I'm tired of Sergio's pathetic begging for a big fight too, but he has every right to call out and get a fight with Miguel Cotto. Especially if Sergio goes back down to 154 like he says he is.Comment
