If we ranked ATG mathematicians using your way, the average Calculus Professor would be ahead of Issac Newton just because they could solve longer and more complicated integrals with a greater degree of accuracy than Newton ever could.

Mathematicians solving "bigger" problems with modern tech does not make them greater than Issac Newton. The Klitschkos fighting "bigger" opponents with modern tech/nutrition does not make them greater than Joe Louis.

No, everything about emotional rankings is wrong, e.g. "Joe Louis is ATG because he beat **** Germany" or "Ali is ATG because he won a technical Supreme Court decision".

My rankings are based on facts that matter, e.g. type of win, type of championship etc.

Additionally I don't even claim that Vitali is Top #2. I merely disagreed with my pre-poster (Harry Balls) who said "Saying he's top10 is ******ed and no one can make a list of a top10 with Vitali on it based on resume. It's impossible. The fact that none of you do it tells everything."

Because one _CAN_ make a list based purely on resume with Vitali in the Top 10.

If you say "but he beat Ali, a former lineal champ" then so did Vitali, too (Shannon Briggs, who was younger than Ali by the way).
