One thing I'm certain about regarding Floyd and Pacs recent PPV numbers

that neither fight sold 1.3 million. If I had to bet everything I bet both PPV's were under 1 million..I think we are really beginning to see the slide of American PPV buys for boxing and the emergence of UFC buys. Most of my friends, Hooters were waiting for the Jon Jones fight the following week. Not many people cared about Floyd's fight. I think both did around 800k which is still decent ...

            Same thing goes for Pac.

Oscar didn't come close to those numbers against a legend in JCC in a Mexican holiday FFS's, couldn't do it with an undefeated Mosley, couldn't do it with an Quartey who was just as known as Ortiz.

And, those fights where he couldn't reach the number was considered success. And, we consider him thee PPV draw.

And, when he did those numbers they were considered success. But, Floyd or even Pac is a failure...

That's how I know that PPV wise, they have surpassed Oscar as bigger draws.
back then it was easy to steal cable and ppv so the sales numbers were lower.

Promoters usually say what the numbers are likely to be within a week after the fight. The fact that it has been over a week and not a peep from Schafer or de la hoya is not a good sign.

And this was supposed to be the best promoted fight in history according to Schafer lmao

The truth is there still counting dudes that keep it real like this and they gotta give them a refund which they gotta subtract from the PPV buys

i wanna drop an anvil on people's head when they chew with their mouths open.

Dan Rafael was asked if the Star Power PPV buys were beyond 1.5 and he said there's virtually no chance of that.

I'd be surprised if it's less than a million.

The unprecedented price tag as well as the soft matches turned lots away. Hopefully people will stop buying Floyd and Manny until they fight each other. As long as they are selling over a million for fighting no-hopers, then they'll do it.

the numbers have not been released because it would embarass both camps...honestly, did floyd think that people were going to shell out so much money to see him fight another subpar opponent? The public may be ****** but the people know a chicken **** duck when they see one

it really only had 12 ppv sales (11 if you count the Filipino guy who called and asked for his money back)...all of social media and sports media blew up afterwards because everyone was just watching the illegal streams.

Right now it's even easier to see it for free online streaming the events. So the sales numbers should be lower.
