Why do Floyd stans think that the people who buy PPVs, care about how many it sold?

I live in a different country to you, so that could be a reason tbh..........But PPV sales make up a lot of my boxing conversations with the people I meet.......I guess we will just put it down to different cultures.......

So with that in mind, to answer your question, the reason why Floyd satns care about PPV sales, is because they realise that people who buy these PPV's are part of histroy.....because Floyd is the money man right now.....a once in a generation fighter........

I've never discussed PPV numbers with anyone.....Then again I couldn't give a rat's ass about the numbers: It has no bearing on what's going on in the ring. Real fans talk about the fights, casual "fans" talk about PPV numbers and who's wearing what bling-bling.

This is the perspective in which fanboys see it(TS thread).

For the non-casual fan, PPV numbers do matter because those numbers dictate and tell wither a fighter is ducking or is trying to make a fight. For example. If Amir would to call out Bradley and if Bradley would accept, but under the condition that he will only accept the fight with a 80/20 split favoring him well, (knowing Bradley doesn't bank like Amir) it would be an indicator that Bradley was ducking Amir. You would only know this based on the numbers they make. Numbers give insight into who is ducking or who is trying to make the fight. Thats why PPV numbers are important to know and be aware of. If PPV's sold, and ticket revenues are so unimportant, then why does every major boxing and news outlet report on them, and why do the networks, promoters and boxers care so much about them?
