Just like Emmanuel said, when I watch Dawson, I do see him fight in spots here and there so it's hard to say which Chad we will get but I suspect come fight night that Hopkins will have gotten old overnight as they say, cuz man when your 46 47 you can look great on one night and then you can look like a shell of your former self the next night. Watching FNF 2 months ago when Hopkins wasa guest talking, the way he was stuttering and slurring over his words like I've never seen him do before in the past tells me that somethings breaking down so I dont expect Bernard to be firing on all cylinders come fight time...

Personally, I like both fighters.

I agree with most comments in the thread. My two cents? I think Chad will be motivated for this fight, it's a fight he's been after for a very long time. It wasn't long ago that Hopkins (and many others) did avoid Dawson for years.

Dawson is way underrated; as steward eluded to, the guy is a technical boxer with great speed and power. Dawson has youth in his side and has shown that he can beat other technical fighters convincingly just as Antonio Tarver (I and II).

Now, the only way I see Dawson losing is if Hopkins makes this fight gritty in the chest fight and takes Chad reach out of his comfort zone. If Hopkins tries to box Dawson, it's not gonna be good for him, youth and speed will work against Ex.

I hope Hopkins doesn't age overnight, I hope he's at his very best. I hope he shows his youth like he did against Pavlik and Pascal, because it will just prove even Hopkins at his best won't beat Dawson.

IF Dawson was consistent from minute to minute in a fight he would certainly be, but because he is so inconsistent hard to say that when B-Hop thrives on inconsistencies though.

Good thing for Dawson though is that B-Hop is also rather inconsistent now so if Dawson can be more consistent he stands a good shot with his attributes but still never count out B-Hop especially against an inconsistent guy like Dawson.
