It has been a week and I have not seen any statements from Shaefer about how happy he is with the 2.5 million PPV buys.

This is great news for Floyd and great news for the sport. Why isn't Shaefer talking about the great ppv buyrate of 2.5 million ppv's? Neither is Dela Hoya?

Richard seems awfully quiet about the biggest-selling fight of the year. And the 1st biggest non-heavyweight fight ever. Weird.

Richard Schaefer won’t go as far as to say the Floyd Mayweather Jr.-Victor Ortiz fight will eclipse the pay-per-view record of nearly 2.5 million buys established by Mayweather and Oscar De La Hoya four years ago.

    Numbers are not out yet.

Yet another failed attempt to down play the possible good numbers that are being reported. (Including a Live Gate that out did Pac's last 3 fights)

It's been a week now and we still don't know the final PPV tally. Sucker Puncher Floyd will be lucky if the fight reaches 750,000 PPV buys.

He doesn't mean attendance he means $$$$$ wise.

Floyd's gates always do better than Pac's because Floyd's tickets are much more expensive.

I honestly hope it would breach the 1M mark bro. It's not going to be good for boxing to hit less in a fight with that magnitude.

I expect though, the next ppv sales of floyd to really suffer (unless its against Pac) due to that sucker punch seen all over the world.
