i see martinez having problems against elite boxers that uses the ring, knows how to use his jabs, and knows when to attack and/or throw combos...martinez's draw n win against martinez doesnt look as great as it once was considering lara beat williams easily, even tho it wasnt by a KO and that lara didnt get the win according to the scorecards

because he knows pirog is a danger to martinez...the sad thing is, team martinez rather call out smaller guys that he will outweight by as much as 20-25 lbs on fight nite than fight someone closer to his weight on fight nite, or better yet, fight someone that will outweigh martinez by 20-25 lbs on fight nite...

Sergio doesn't have to take on no god damn tough fight after like 4 fights consisting of nothing but tough fighters. He already bend down to HBO by fighting Dzinzuruk. No need to fight the European hype job Pirog right now. Sergio also got punked for his WBC title. Dude can't even lose his WBC title fair and square, Sulaiman had to take away from him. And a little pit stop against Barker now makes him some kind of criminal.

Dude needs a high profile fight against Pac, May, Cotto or Margarito ASAP. He earned it. I went from the biggest Sergio hater, to now having respect for him. He deserves much more respect than he's getting from these *******s and P-Ricans.

I agree with you 100%, except, I dont mind if Pirog gets some now.

To be honest, I thought that the earlier calls for Pirog/Martinez were absurd.

And while Pirog is still largely untested, he is at least starting to solidify his position, and with his style that could be a pretty entertaining scrap.

I am a little more confident now that he will not get blown out of there early, and I am sick of the idiots that try to insinuate that Martinez is ducking the kid. My real problem was that I liked the look of Pirog, and did not want to see him get broken too early, like what happens to a lot of other fighters..... but, Pirog wants it, and the anti-Martinez brigade are calling for it..... so let em have what they want, I say.
