I would gladly shell out PPV money for this fight, gladly...make it happen. I know Martinez is not the one to run and hide so there is a good chance the two will meet.

Bunema / Cintron / williams / pavlik / williams / dzinziruk - Pirog is very very good from the eyeball test, but name me someone of note that he has beaten (prospect jacobs?) who had no business fighting for a title? no one is on here speaking on how the wbc stripped him of his middle weight to hand deliver it to someone who is not even skill wise ready to defend it - all i see on this site are fans of specific boxers who have 0 knowledge of the game, and defend their favorite boxers when known facts are thrown their way - the game is dying and half you guys are the pallbearers!
Hmmm...It seems that your research is flowed mate. The day that he won WBO belt Pirog called out all other middleweight champs. He said that he's main aim is to unify. He also said that he's not affraid to loose - he just want to fight the best. They all said NO. THAN he said well...big names don't want to fight me so I might make a couple of defences in my home country to please the fans. That's the facts. If you want I'll dig out interviews for you.

        Thanks
        Ted

PS: Now I'm not saying that Pirog is great or that he can beat Martinez (elite fighter) but all that seen Pirog's fights know that it will be entertaining and competetive fight. On the other hand I understand Martinez who not young by any means and doesn't want high risk low reward (financially) fight.
