When exactly was Ali knocked unconscious bro? He had to retire in his penultimate fight before official retirement but he was NEVER knocked clean out!

Floyd cheated against Ortiz aswell and who did Ali cheat against that were '3 weight classes' below him???
Heavyweights are all the same weight class you know, if they are 15 stone or 22 stone! I don't hear many people standing up for David Haye who was much smaller and about 3 stone less than Wlad....

I think Floyd is one of the greatest of this generation and a top class and smart boxer, but his courage sucks azz man! And i am a Floyd hater (of personality) !!!

As for styles, there is very little comparison.
Except that inside, Cosell loved Ali. Deep inside Merchant, he wants to see Mayweather hanging from a tree.

A little bit different IMO, but what do I know.

floyd doesn't compare to ali. if there is one heavyweight he reminds me of, its jack johnson. from the class of fighter to the infamy he seems to conjure up. jack was much more of a bad ass though.

Mayweather has BIG arguments with loads of media you know, he ducks and dodges questions and comes up with lame azz responses to them and says things like 'you don' know nuttin about boxing if you've never had a fight or a boxing match before'.

This would have been the same had Cosell and Merchant changed places. In fact Merchant was a big fan of Ali and scored the Ali-Frazier I fight for Ali. Cosell would have ripped into Mayweather most likely. He was rough on a lot of people and not many liked him.

Stylistically I'd compare Mayweather to this man:

George Benton vs Bobby Boyd by TheGreatA

The great George Benton passed away recently.

IMO Floyd's the G.O.A.T...It's about the skills(the best I've ever seen from past and present), He's the most complete fighter ever:

Speed, quickness, balance, ring IQ, decent power, extremely sharp and accurate punching, master of defense, and excellent counters!

But the MAIN REASON I believe he's the greatest of all is because of what he brings to the sport! No he's not bigger than boxing, but he's BIG for boxing. Whether you want to see him win, or you want to see him lose...YOU'LL WANT TO SEE HIM! Floyd Mayweather brings such an attraction even with that " Bad Guy " image!

I agree. Floyd Mayweather is the greatest boxer of all time. Manny Pacquiao needed steroids to even get mentioned in the same breath as Mayweather!

Floyd should never be compared to Ali. Floyd's name shouldn't even be brought up when talking about Ali.
