Taylor's propensity to gas late on doesn't render a victory over him entirety meaningless. And I'd dispute your claim that Hopkins was well past it at the time of their fights. Anything Hopkins has lost in terms of athleticism over the course of his career (and he was never a particularly athletic fighter, at any rate) he's made up for in guile and ring savvy.

Put the Hopkins from any point of over the past 7 years in against the Hopkins of 2001 and he gets merked. Hopkins of today has to be carefully matched in order to win. Wins over a frauds like Pavlik and Pascal don't impress me at all. Guile and ring savvy aren't going to make up for the loss of reflexes that come with age.

Taylor's propensity to gas makes him questionable against anyone who isn't a tomato can. The dude lost to frauds like Pavlik and Abraham ffs, primarily from punching himself out.
