Cortez is a legend.
If Weeks or Bayless are on the undercard, but somehow Joe gets the main, you know that someone is trying to gain an advantage.
For the next fight he covers, we should have a pool on what round he makes that face where he looks like he just woke up and doesn't know who he is or where he's at.
The old man looks like Scott Bakula just Quantum Leaped into his body.

I remember this dude being declared as the winner by DQ, smiling, punching the air, with that dislocated nose. I was like, how can he be the winner?For me, I gotta go with how he handled Soto vs Lorenzo. The way he DQ'd Soto for a glazing blow after a brutal beat down dished out by Soto was a thing of beauty. Not only did he DQ him, the way he let poor Lorenzo leek blood all over the canvas for over 10 minutes without medical attention while his nose was literally on the side of his cheek as Cortez tried desperately to figure out what to do, that was pure genius.
Post your favorite Cortez moment and fight. He's a legend. A hall of famer. An all time great. And remember: he's fair but he's firm!
