2.) renegotiating the contracted weight

1.) A catch-weight bout is where two fighters meet at middle-ground in order to produce a fairer contest
2.) Marquez is a lightweight
3.) According to Pac, he is a natural JWW, and his best fighting weight is 140
WHY THE *** IS THAT FIGHT TAKING PLACE AT WELTER, YOU ****S ?
Marquez, for the past several years, have been coming in at fight night at 140+. In 2/22/09, he weighed 140 against J. Diaz. In 11/27/10, he weighed 145 against Katsidis.
Although he was fighting at the 135 division, his comfort zone at fight night is 140+. That's how much he weighed when he beat those guys. And those guys he beat weighed about as much as he did, around 140+.
When Marquez meets Pac, they will be separated by about 3 lbs only, unlike the 15+ lbs. advantage Floyd had over Marquez. There will be very small differences in stats between Pac and JMM. It's not going to be as blatantly uneven as the Floyd/JMM match.
At 144, the Pac/JMM bout is an evenly matched fight.
When you and cohorts say that Marquez has no business at WW, what you are actually saying is JMM has no business fighting bigger guys (like Floyd) who re-hydrate to 155 and above. That is not the case against Pac.
If Pac and JMM have been comfortable coming in at 140+ at fight night and winning at that weight, why the f..k do you want them to go down to LWW?

Ever heard of the word objectivity? Both guys are great future HOFs for good reason. Is FMJ your best friend? Does he pay your rent? Did Pac murder your parents or kill your dog?
