Give the kid a chance dude the guy is only 20 some years old and he shows he has great potential to b a great fighter he is no where near the experience of martinez but he will b at that point at some time he is very solid in fundamentals and has a great boxing IQ for a guy who is young as him .. Sergio is the champ no doubt but Fighting Canelo is pointless at this point cuz Canelo has not even reached hes prime yet and he IMO has a long way to go but since he is very talented at 154 i see him progressing very much faster than expected give the guy a couple more years and he'll b one of the best prospects to come out of mexico..

      He won't, he can't.

I don't see this fight happening because of JCC weight issues but if it does Alvarez by TKO in the 8th.

both of these guys are junk, neither one of them deserves to be champion right now because they haven't fought any worthy opponents.

No, I don't think these guys are the second coming of Sal Sanchez, Chavez Sr, Pippino Cuevas but I DO think that Alvarez vs CHavez Jr. would produce SERIOUS fireworks with each guy getting hurt, digging deep, and putting up a great fight. Many times you get better fights with guys who are not the true talented superstars than the superstars give us. Two undefeated fighters, an "0" has to go.

How many times do you get excited about a HUGE matchup with elite fighters and then end up watching a stinker? ***, I would rather watch 2 streaking contenders fight in a WAR than watch superstars fight in a boring chess game any day!! Watching a 1 round Tyson blowout years ago or a 10 round fight where guys are hugging, forget it! Give me SHOBOX any day!!! Chavez/Canelo will be a war.

Exactly! Give the kid a chance. Remember Vargas? They rushed him and and where is he now. This kid is still growing. He didnt ask for that title and i do believe he will be great one day. Hes better than any 21 year old i have ever seen. He has smarts, talent, skills, and is hugely popular. Plus his girl is awesome to look at, so give him a chance and lets see what comes out.

Yeah, but I can assure you, he won't be staying at middleweight. Dude is way too small. If he does win, he'll vacate.
