I believe him. Against Pac he took the beating of a lifetime and kept on walking forward. This guy is almost impossible to stop. I'm still surprised Cotto went this route so early instead of fighting guys like Berto and Ortiz at WW or Canelo. This fight was always gonna be there...

I guess the best thing he has going for him is Marg will most likely be slower. With 10 ounce gloves though Cotto isn't going to hurt this guy. So he'll have to outbox Marg over 12 rounds. Will Steward get Cotto to clinch? I doubt it.

Pacquiao/Margarito should have been stopped. Margarito's corner should have thrown towel in. That was pointless for Margarito to get brain damage and a broken orbital bone to prove how tough he is/chin/heart etc. It was as bad as Vitali/Briggs.

Margarito hurt pacman with that body shot n that was the only time pacman slept on margarito n he got hurt, after he jus used hes quickness, i think cotto is gona be there to hit all night in my opinion he hasnt really improved with stewart n he looks much slower, if people really are bettin dat margarito beat him with loaded gloves the first time they making a big mistake cause he prolly didnr he broke him down step by step gettin away from punches n landing his, he did intend to cheat against mosley but i think it was an act of desperation due to his sloppy trainin camp n situation he was in, he should be out of boxing but he aint, so lets all enjoy a great battle of tough warriors, i see it 50/50

I suppose Cotto is the one to tell us for sure. Someone needs to ask him the question after the fight (win or lose) - "Did Margarito's shots feel any "firmer" when you first fought him to how they felt tonight?"

good question to be asked, but how truthfully will cotto answer the question?

I will be rooting for cotto in this fight, I think he has more upside than Margarito...

I agree with this. This all comes down to how much Margarito has left after the Mosley/Pac beatings. I dont think Cotto can hurt Margarito.

If Cotto goes back to his boxing style that he started his career with he will get the UD against Margs. If he tries to brawl with him (illegal hand wraps or not) he will get brutalized yet again. Im a huge fan of boxing as a gentlemen's sport and when Margs got caught using those hand wraps i was disgusted with him. He could have killed someone and he got what he deserved against Pacman.

Cotto should throw nothing but jabs and the occasional left hook or right hand in order to conserve energy.

Cotto needs to reduce movement and stand his ground without having to go to war.

If Cotto can do this, he will win a UD.
