I actually have JCC winning this fight.

I'm not impressed at all with Alvarez (young or not). He was rocked by Cotto and was losing to Gomez before the horrible stoppage.

If this fight is made, JCC will stop him late or win by UD.

I used to say Canelo would whoop Chavez but I'm not sure anymore. Chavez has the size, the chin, and Roach.

I think it will be a war but I feel canelo will win it with his boxing skills.

If the WBC keeps its word, Chavez will be stripped of his belt for not fighting Martinez. Rubio and Martinez will then fight for the vacant belt. Hope this happens. Probably not.

I'm not overly impressed with Canelo either...but but he is for real...Jr never was. Easy win for Canelo.

I would have to check Canelo's history against pressure type fighters that like to fight on the inside.

Not counting Alvarez's padded record, from what I saw Saturday night,he's not active in the slightest bit. Let's put it this way. If he's gonna beat JCC, he needs some work before doing so.

Winner of this can get the winner of the Cotto-Margs clash. Newer gen vs Older gen.

From the tiny sample of posters here, it's interesting to note that Mexican Americans support more Canelo in this fight.

But Mexicans here in Mexico, 60/40 let's say want to Chavez to win.

Also it will be hilarious to see your faces of all the guys saying Chavez is a chump if he knocks Canelo out.

Let's remember Chavez will be 181 lbs or so by fight night, 6`0 to 5'8 of Canelo (I know the list him as 5'9, but he's not 5'9, he's shorter than Pablo Cesar Cano, and I have met Cano and he's short, so I can imagine Canelo)

He had a fight with Francisco Villanueva 3 years ago, it was a war and he barely won it SD in 10 rounds

Villanueva record by that time was 5-17-2 (9 of those losse by KO), Villanueva has a similar style to Chavez, and had a considerable height advantage too,

If Roach can get a copy of that fight, it will help his plan a lot, it was broadcasted on Televisa Guadalajara.

no hes is not active enough and doesnt throw enough. He just burst out with combos once in a while in the round. That is why I give chavez a chance bc he throws a good amount of punches and despite what people think he has heavy hands. Plus add in the size diffrence and it turns in to a hard fought fight for both.
