Did the Ortiz fight make Floyd think hes not quite ready for Khan.

Pac is one story. I do feel like they may think he needs more rounds because Pac is the best and he's a Southpaw. Khan isnt. Khan is a righty and there is no righty that Floyd is going to fear unless they are so much bigger then him that they can just push him around the ring. Khan cant do that. Floyd doesnt even think a righty can land a clean punch on him.
Dont go fully off what Floyd is saying right now about Khan. Its not a fight that is going to happen in Khan's next fight. Thats just how Floyd talks. When the fight gets in a real discussion, trust me when I say that Floyd would jump all over taking that fightComment

All I know is that Ortiz was beginning to tag Mayweather in the 4th and before the headbutt, it was turning out to be his best round. The general consensus is that FLoyd won most if not all the rounds, but i think Floyd was feeling the heat a bit and more tired than usual after the 4th as he was throwing more punches than usual and taking heavier shots than he is probalby used to for a while.
Im must wondering if the performance made Floyd more realistic in where hes at at this stage of his career and point.?
Mayweather on the other hand may have been getting a little discouraged after hitting Ortiz with everything, only to see him apply more pressure.
That cheap shot was a golden opportunity for Floyd to end the fight before the going got rough.
Does this mean that he's having 2nd thoughts about Khan? Maybe, but not necessarily. Ortiz is a southpaw and carries more power than Khan. Khan is taller, has faster hands and a superior jab, not to mention more heart than Ortiz. And we have yet to witness how he fits the role of a welter. I'm sure these things are on Mayweather's mind but depending on how he assesses both fighters, either views Khan as an easier or tougher fight. Only man who knows for sure is himself.Comment

And in round 4 he was thinking, "Damn! I should have this dude figured out by now, and coupled with all the shots I've hit him with he should be slowing down, but this dude just keeps coming and is beginning to land shots on me! I wish I could find a way out this fi-" POW! HEADBUTT! And the rest is history.I bet he was thinking;
"Wow, this is easier than I thought I'm not even out of 1st gear and I have won every round and this guy is already breaking down mentally I can tell by his face. I bet he's going to headbutt me out of frustration in a minute becaue I'm toying with him so much"
Then the rest is history.Comment

I agree, FLoyd felt as if he was in a fight, no matter what his fans like to believe. No matter how easy it looked to some, FLoyd was actually in the ring so he knew it was tough going, even if at times it may not have looked like it to some Floyd fans. All I know is that Ortiz was beginning to tag Mayweather in the 4th and before the headbutt, it was turning out to be his best round.

Floyd does have worries about his opponents though, and nothing would make me think otherwise. Otherwise he wouldnt think so much and be so calculated and would fight more instead.Comment

This is exactly how the crap starts. Khan says Mayweather's name and win a fight against a gatekeeper and suddenly his fans seem to think he's ready. Nevermind that he's a couple fights removed from running the Boston marathon in the final rounds against Madaina to escape defeat, or that he's still relatively young in his career. He hasn't even fought at welter yet! And now that Floyd isn't gonna fight him when "KHAN" says he wants the fight..Floyd is scared, not ready, ducking, etc.mayweahter knows roach has the formula for beating him
i mean amir khan just accepted 1) the blood test
2) fighting vargas
mayweather is now completely ducking the khan topic completely
the blood test was only ever for pacaquiao because they knew
he came in weaker because of it.
it shows mayweather isnt that confident. if he was he could beat
pacquiao on a level playing field but he wants his opponents
to come in at less than their best ...
This microwave generation is annoying. Let the guy earn it first. Floyd was a champ in '98 and look how long it took him to get his cash out chance against Oscar. You guys stan these fighters that have a spark, a quick 2-3 year peak, then they get exposed, and then you guys hop off the train. Why aren't there anymore Floyd is scared of Margarito threads? Let me guess...in the boneyard with all the "Hatton's pressure will beat Floyd", "Zab's a fast southpaw that hit hard...Floyd struggles with them", "He scared to fight a legit welterweight with power like Shane", etc. It has become evident to those who know how to assess boxing talent that some guys just aren't on Floyd's level yet. Wait until Khan beats a welterweight first before he becomes the poster boy for the "Floyd is ducking (insert new fighter who really hasn't been tested or earned his stripes yet)" sweepstakes.Comment

Getting hit 6 times per round sure is a battle. Anybody with half a brain knew what road that fight was going down. Realize what you guys are clamoring about. The bar for Floyd is set so high that...wait for it....getting HIT in a FIGHT is a big deal to you guys. He got hit an average of 6 times a round. Ortiz didn't land a single jab. And that's a hard nights work, now?I agree, FLoyd felt as if he was in a fight, no matter what his fans like to believe. put the Kool-aid down. khan is the most fragile top fighter in the world. his stock could come crumbling down in any fight, at any given moment. talk about hype job. ****.
