Floyd's better than those two guys, I think that's the point he was making. Pacquiao could barely hit those guys with clean punches, without lunching forward, falling off balance

I just wish Pacquiao fans had been watching boxing before two years ago, it seems all the basic things we know they overlook whether it's intentional or just ignorance i dunno...

I'll just say this much, there's a reason respected boxing writers say things about Floyd that are always about his technical gifts and abilities, whereas most often than not, people only talk about how Pacquiao basically overwhelms his opponents with workrate and power

put aside the fighter's personality and take a look at what they do in the ring, and honestly tell me or anyone here Pacquiao does anything as good or better than Floyd Mayweather, Jr. I mean really, no bull****, real talk fellas

the difference between Floyd and Shane is that Shane doesn't control distance between himself and his opponent nearly as well as Floyd does. Floyd will completely and utterly control the entire ring against any opponent, that's something Shane can't do
You still have not satisfactorily answered the puzzle on how Pac can manage to land a lot of power punches, at a very high percentage, with his shorter height and reach against a taller, bigger opponent who was trying hard to stay away from him.

I believe I answered it right there, you must not have read the whole post. Shane did what Cotto did, he ran away, that isn't the same thing as effectively controlling distance between yourself and your opponent, not the same thing.

yes floyd is smart and ties up when needed..nowhere did i say manny wouldnt have any success..i was saying he wont be able to crank out those combos and let his hands go like he likes to..hence he'll get frustrated cause he loves to fight.Floyd wont allow him to let his hands go and will cut his workrate in half and piss him off POSSIBLY making him do something dumb

this is a very tough fight for Pac

he will be the one to adjust or he will be like Ortiz eating lead rights all night

Pac should mix it up with body punches, something recent Floyd's opponents neglected to do

footwork is the other one, he has to turn Floyd around to confuse his timing

he doesn't have to focus on knocking him out, it will come later if he somehow manages to figure everything out, which is definitely not an easy task

You guys keep saying that Floyd is better than anybody including Pac. Better how?
Comparing their performances against common opponents (except Marquez, but that was before Pac achieved his full potential) Pac has out performed Floyd by a mile. It showed in the results, it showed in the statistics of the fights, it showed in the mental and physical conditions of the opponents immediately and then long after the fights.

Then compare the quality of all their opponents at WW and the manner of how they won and there is no comparison.

So again, how is Floyd better than Pac? When you try to answer this, use supporting evidences, not opinions or debatable observations.

Manny is more aggressive and more offensive then floyd this cant be denied....but floyd is better defensively and a better counter puncher and has a higher ring iq..this cant be denied.thats why this fight needs to happen so we can see 2 atg's get it on

How would TS see the possibility of Manny beating Floyd if his eyes are enclosed inside Floyd's vagina?

You are saying that Floyd is better defensively and a better counter puncher. That again is an observation not supported by statistics.

In the DLH fights, sure, Floyd had a better percentage in landing his jabs. But pac had a higher percentage on power punches and landed at a higher rate (24/rd compared to Floyd at 11.5 /rd average). That nullifies the claim that Floyd is the more accurate boxer. Remember that Floyd has a considerable longer reach than Pac which should give him more opportunities to land his punches. As far as defense, DLH landed the same percentage on both boxers. That again nullifies the other claim that Floyd has better defense.

The statistics in the Mosley fights showed the same pattern as shown in a previous post.

With regards to the Hatton fights, in two rounds, Pac landed 73 out of 127 total punches thrown or 57%. His power punches was more impressive, 65/105 or 62%.
Floyd on the other hand landed 129/329 or 39%. His power punches were the same, 100/257 or 39%.
Again, there goes the accuracy claim.

On the defense side, Hatton landed at 23% on Pac, and 17% on Floyd. Still not a big difference considering that Hatton was smaller and had shorter reach than Floyd.
