Manny's very explosive and fast and comes from different angles. He's so awkward. If Zab, Mosley and Ortiz can land shots on Mayweather, I don't see why Manny wouldn't. Not saying Manny would win for sure or anything, but I certainly think he'd catch Mayweather and probably put him down.

Zab landed in single digits in 10 of 12 rounds.....

Pacquiao is a lot different than Zab. I was just trying to use an example. Of course Mayweather is elusive, but he's never fought an offensive machine like Manny. If he chooses to fight Manny more toe to toe, than he will for sure get caught. Like I said, I'm not saying he'd win, but catch him? I think for sure. I'm not a huge Pacquiao fan by the way either.

Floyd schools Pac badly. It is known that Pac has difficulties vs boxers, let alone defensive counter punchers. He went life and death vs JMM and beaten by Morales. His weaknesses is known. Nobody Pac has faced in years has me in any way thinking he would have ever beaten Floyd.

The biggest test for Manny is in November vs a LW at WW. If he does not destroy JMM very very very early a lot of people that had him beating Mayweather should be jumping ship. Because anything less than a early KO for Pac would validate he's either getting old, STILL can't handle a defensive counter puncher or all the above.

Just look at Pac's very last fight. He looked HORRIBLE vs a shot Mosley who hadn't won a fight in years. Pac will not adapt to Mayweather who will have him figured out early on. Like I said, the Pac vs JMM fight will answer a lot of questions.

Agreed, I am going to wait until after that fight to reassess Pacquiao simply because of Marquez's style.

Like you said, there were some problems for Manny against Shane, but he wasn't making Pac pay for any of the "mistakes" we thought we saw. In fact, they were playing pattycake with plenty of hi-fives to go around. Disadvantages aside, JMM will not be there to make friends and if Manny begins to make huge mistakes he will, at least, attempt to capitalize (especially with the right hand). That bout should give us much better insight when sizing up a potential Floyd/Manny bout.

How is Pac beating up a lightweight an answer to anything?

Sure Manny missed some shots against Mosley and Clottey shelled up all night but he swept every round in those fights. Can you imagine what would have happened if Mosley had tried to trade with Pac? The fight would have ended in a TKO without a doubt, the same with Clottey.

All hating/kidding aside, Floyd would would be able to limit Pac's output to a great degree but Pac doesn't even look like he is trying half the time. People can say he is one-dimensional and what not but no one-dimensional boxer is gonna beat the guys that he has beaten the way he has beaten them.

If you watch some of the highlights in his fights in slow motion, he makes some subtle adjustments and movements in a split second that are amazing. I think Mayweather would be getting just as frustrated as Pac at times and I can't see anyway that Mayweather tries to trade with Pac without getting caught.

It will forever remain the fantasy fight of the century.

He didn't had to. The openings was there, and he was already mobile enough to kept his distance. All he had to did was set up his counters, and moved out to forced the fight to be in the middle of the ring and kept it at long range. Shane isn't an opportunist or maybe couldn't pulled the trigger, but I've never seen Manny that vulnerable like he was against Mosley.
