Marquez took the shots and didn't fall behind, but that's because its Marquez and its what he does... Floyd would get hit clean more often than he ever has IMO, and it would be interesting to see how he'd react and win back the rounds
I'd still favour Floyd, Mosley showed you can stay away from Mannys power... I'd just like to see how Floyd would get it done.

JMM has losses and has tasted the canvas numerous times....if he can eat pac's shots and is he less defensive...then why cant Mayweather who has neevr been knocked down or loss in a fight?

Mosley was just running, but Manny did still catch Mosley around 220 times. Floyd could just move avoid but that not going to win him the fight.

I think that more than ever, Floyd is relatively more hittable these days and we all can see that. I can still see Floyd frustrating Pacquiao in the middle of the ring with his deft, timing and his right hand...but when pressed in a corner or by the ropes, Pacquiao can at least HIT ONE BIG ONE that can open the floodgates.
why was margarito able to hit Pacquiao?

What it clearly showed was that movement is a downfall for Manny.

Against guys like Clottey who is flat footed, Margarito who only comes forward, and Hatton who leaves his hands at his side... Manny can tee off... but in fights like Mosley, or the last few rounds of Cotto.. when they started moving around the ring.. Manny looked like a deer in headlights.

Cutting the ring off was out of the question... all Manny did was look at the ref.

Floyd can move.. AND pot shot... which will be a serious problem for Pacquiao based on what we've seen of his reaction to movement.

Pacquiao's power has improved, and Marquez has amazing powers of recovery.

The length of Manny will be a factor for sure. He's at a disadvantage there. His footspeed and lead left will be the determining factor there. If he can at least move Floyd out of position with his lead left then he's fast enough to move into range and land power punches.

I really wish we could just get it over with already.

I see Manny taking the first 2-3 rounds and then Floyd adjusting to his speed and throwing manny off his timming which then it all floyd from there, Manny fights 1 way and 1 way only and cant adjust as much as floyd can so if he is getting caught comming in he's gonna keep getting caught, Manny is a great fighter but Manny plays checkers where if he fights Floyd it becomes a chess match and floyd is the master of that. But I do think it will be a great fight but I just think floyd is too smart and crafty for Manny.

He threw punches, when you throw punches you are open, Margarito paid double for everyone of those punches he landed, they came back harder and in greater numbers.

If Floyd throws he will hit Pacquiao but he will always be open.

Yes and all of them lost the round comfortably, If Floyd want to run and lose then so be it.

Manny was still landing against all of them and they were landing less and less.
