How about doing all that before telling the timekeeper to start the clock again? Is that official? Had the clock even started yet or the fight itself? Was it still in between time starting and if so does that count?????? These are the questions you have to ask yourself. The fight was ruled a knockout because Cortez had too big of an ego to admit he ****ed up during the fight. Period.

Cortez said Ortiz made 2 mistakes. i disagree. He made 3 mistakes. The 1st one was signing for a fight that he had absolutely zero chance of winning.

Cortez says "Lets go" with the same gesture throught the fight. It's funny that Mayweather gets all the flack for this but, Ortiz was trying to do a lot of dirty tactics himself. Jim Lampley applauded floyd for using the protect yourself at all times rule in against Gatti and I believe against Mosely but, he doesnt now? I think a lot of people were just disappointed the fight didnt last longer and influenced more by what the commentators and people that didn't go back and really look at the whole fight objectively. Ortiz understood "Let's go" before the point deduction. He didn't want to fight that's all it is to it. Fighting wasn't on the young man's mind anymore. I think all three messed up some. I would have rather Floyd continue to break him down like he did Hatton. Floyd and Cortez are getting more flack than the guy that started all this. It's kind of like in football. One guy throws a punch and gets away with it and the second guy gets caught and thrown out. I think Ortiz has mental issues. I think Floyd does also...lol

The timekeeper started the clock. When the headbutt occurred and Cortez called time there was 9 seconds left in the round. When Cortez said let's go and brought the fighters together from their corners the action resumed and when the KO happened, there was 1 second left in the round.

All you need to do is watch a replay, man.

Watch the post presser. Floyd didnt hear the lets go either. Even though it was there, he showed his character by doing it regardless.
