Watch it again. He says "Let's go" and waves them in. Mayweather saw it, Ortiz saw it.

It sounds like "let's go" was meant for the time keeper now as he admits he never gave any verbal instructions...only a hand gesture which is not proper protocol and might have been interpreted as a gesture for the time-keeper as well.

In a fight of this magnitude little things like that can't happen and Cortez has to take some the fault. I can guarantee you had it have been Floyd at the receiving end of that KO under those circumstances...after Cortez admitting that he never gave a verbal instruction...this fight would be declared a no contest and a rematch would be order.
