Cortez should've immediately disqualified Floyd after the sucker punch.

Quit a few professional boxers think otherwise and the entire boxing community thinks otherwise.
It seems as though there's mixed reactions among fans and media alike regarding the outcome of this past Saturday's fight, when Floyd

I dont think Cortez did anything wrong. He gestured for them to fight. And said "lets go".

We could all see what was coming. Floyd has a history of being ruthless in the ring, but playing by the rules. He made Gatti and SSM pay for dropping their hands.
      Ortiz should of known better.

And Ortiz wanted to be Mr nice guy when he should have been protecting himself.
Larry should have acknowledged that he was badly butted. But instead focused on the cheap shot.
But Floyd's eruption was uncalled for, and he displayed once again why people dont like him. Not because he is black, young and rich, but because he is a ****ing idiot.

I disagree as if it was anyone but Larry I don't think he would have blown up like he did. Like Floyd expected, I knew it was going to be a bad interview when I knew that Larry was doing it. I knew (as did Floyd) that he would jump right on his case. Like Floyd always says, no matter what, he doesn't get "a fair shake" and I think he walked into that interview with that mindset.

I agree that Floyd shouldn't have acted that way, but I'm sure he was disappointed that the fight ended the way it did and KNEW people would some how some way make HIM out to be the bad guy and what better person to do that? Larry. I don't blame Floyd for acting that way. It's expected with how Larry confronted him the way he did.

But yes normally Mayweather can be an idiot but IMO its a perfected act that makes him the biggest draw in boxing. I think he acts like a fool because the media eats it up and it only makes him more popular as his PPV's validate it.

Its whatever, i'm a boxing fan and couldn't care any less how he represents himself outside of the ring. Its just surprising that people act surprised when he blows up, that is what Floyd does.

This dude needs to get his story straight, b/c this is a thorough explanation that he gave ....

"I told them the fight was back on and I put my hands in the middle and said come on let's go. Then I looked at the timekeeper and being the captain of the ship I made sure that my timekeeper had his clock running. I was surprised he would put his hands out again to say I'm sorry. He did that the first time around. He even kissed Mayweather on the cheek. In boxing that's why you always hear the phrase keep your guards up at all times. Why did he lower his guard when I already said time is in. He made the mistake. It was a mistake he made by lowering his guard and tried to apologize the second time."

They definitely have grounds now to appeal if they choose to. Cortez's hand gesture was so half-assed first and foremost, and the fact that he was so close to them probably made Ortiz think they were still on the break. That whole situation was so unclear and I'm happy Cortez told the truth so that Team Ortiz can appeal and hopefully I get my ******** money back lol
