It really is something when the fighter who won within the rules is crucified instead of the fighter who intentionally broke the rules. I guess Mayweather really is held up to a different standard to all other fighters.
I agree with hopkins except ortiz was not "loading his gun", he just simply wasn't paying attention and was not aware of the fact that cortez "allegedly" restarted the fight. So floyd took advantage and legally sucker punched him.
Boxing is presented and packaged as sport , but in a fight at that level its war within rules , its a different perspective in there than from that of a fans seat watching TV .
While I understand that its a different perspective, there is still room for some level of respect even in a fight of this magnitude. Victor was dirty and Floyd as well with the "legal sucker punch" that even Hopkins admits was dirty by labeling it the latter. And of course Hopkins would do the same, he's headbutted and used many a dirty tricks in his bouts lol
Hal of Fame fighters vs pudgy midgets in internet cafes.
Which opinion do you value?
It's pretty unanimous that floyd was in the right. Only diehard Ortiz fans and certified floyd haters say otherwise. ****, even most floyd haters say he was in the right.
Like I said to my comrades that night if Ortiz wanted to fight dirty, he should have been dirty and had a dirty mentality. He shouldn't have apologized he should been like "yeah I headbutted you, so what, you want more b!tch?!?" that apologizing crap after the fact he headbutted 3-4 times made him look like an idiot.
You never saw B-hop say sorry for fouling someone! hell no! That's part of the intimidation factor.
