150lbs accepted for Pacquiao & Martinez

In an interview with Carlos Irusta of the Boxing Scene, Martinez had this to say:

"I am willing to go down to the 150-pounds to face Manny Pacquiao. It does not depend only on me. We will see what happens, if his team and [Top Rank CEO] Bob Arum accept [the fight]. Because it's one thing is to fight Antonio Margarito at 150, and another thing to face me at 150," said Martinez during an interview with BoxingScene.com's Carlos Irusta.
"It would be below the junior middleweight limit of 154 lbs [69.850 kg.]. 150-pounds is 68 kilos. It's an incredible effort for my body. I walk around at 78 or 79 kilos, with a maximum of 3.2% body fat. I have very little body fat and I'm very muscular. To go down to that weight can be fatal for my health. But it can be done. With enough time, I think it's possible to do. What's better than saying, 'we'll fight you anywhere you want, the date you want and the weight you want.'

"He always said 150, and I respect his position, because he is a little fighter even at 150. But it's going to play to his advantage because I'll be almost ten kilos lighter in my body. "

Yet unlike a certain individual, this guy would not get any **** from boxing fans for trying to fight smaller guys. The double standard in here.

PAcquiao wont fight him, "too big". Floyd needs to step up and take the challenge.

fcuk catchweights. 154 is where it should happen. pac doesnt have to weigh 154. he can still come in at whatever the fcuk he wants. pac claims to be a former champion at junior middleweight. even mayweather didnt ***** about fighting de la hoya at 154 even tho he only weighed 150.

If Paquiao is ducked by Floyd again then he will be forced to fight Martinez after Tim Bradley.

Anyway, Pacquiao will be a lot lighter than Martinez during the fight.

would boxing fans accept this??? wouldnt martinez be draining himself for another pac catchweight fight??? isnt this the MAIN argument people have against pac?

i would love to see this fight though...

whats funny is how the *****s complain saying the pacman vs jmm shouldhave been at 140 not 144. 4lbs is to much for marquez yet they say martinez is not to big for manny LOL!! lets see on fight night there will be close to a 20lbs difference.

martinez wont be draining himself, he will be lighter than his usual but draining is just something the haters wanna use to discredit any win.
