Thats the problem when a tomato can was hyped up. Too much expectations. As I always said, Ortiz has skills. But right now, compared to Manny and Floyd, he's just like a mediocre fighter and the distance is enormous. maybe after proving himself after a couple of fights then we'll see,

The problem is Floyd has hyped him up and called him "a hungry young lion." Is he hungry? Definitely! is he young! No need to prove that. But is he a lion? Cmon. Are you kidding me?

Cortez is not suppose to see it, I watch these stuff all the time. While the ref is distracted by an outsider, one opponent take out a brass knuckle and clock the other guy in the face. When the other guy goes down, that's when the ref is suppose to turn around and see the guy on the floor and make his count. Floyd is an expert at this.

Lets go could mean, lets go tie your shoe laces.

Looking thru the Boxing Rules it doesnt say "Lets Go"

What the hell could Lets Go mean? Especially when you turn your back to the fighters to talk to someone?

If he said FIGHT / BOX than that wouldve been a diffirent thing, but saying "LETS GO?" I didnt know that "Lets Go" means " FIGHT OR BOX"

Joe Blotrez proves yet again that he is a useless twat. This fight reminded me of a WWE event:

Both fighters inviting family members to fight
          Cheap gimmicks at weigh in
          Headbutt that looked scripted
Referee looks away as fighter KO's the dude with hands down
Commentators getting into a fight with a fighter.

Vince McMahon couldnt script a better event if he tried
exactly, cortez was so vague, it just leaves all this crap to be open for people to give him the excuse in his favor....

bottom line, cortez's unprofessionalism, IMHO, ruin this fight.......... i don't care about who wins, what i care about is getting ripped off because of incompetence...... but i don't think it was that cut and dry, incompetence, as a matter of fact i know it was an inside job....... because not one thing about this outcome and how it came about is organic and it REEKS of a scripted actions........

i don't care what anyone says, boxing has had fixed fights since it's inception, why would this weekend be any different.....??? people need to wake up and stop going with the lame old consensus group think on this.....

everyone repeating the status quo line over and over " protect yourself at all times! "..... yeah, yeah we know, but that still doesn't dismiss all the discrepancies in this fight, the lack of control by such a highly experienced ref, and the opportunity left WIDE OPEN for floyd to take a freebee or FREEBEES! was WAY to su****ious........

everyone acts like fights aren't fixed anymore, everyone thinks this is a nice world and no one is out to rip them off..........

and people say, why would they do something like that to rip people off!?!?! why, why why?

well, easy, more ****ing money, either in trying to create a demand for a rematch, or placed bets.......... ie picking the round in which the fight would be stopped in, usually pays 10 to 1, who made those bets?!? no one will ever know because they don't disclose that type information, especially if they're scattered about ALL the sports books.............

then if they were to do a rematch, it would be more millions of dollars for them, to just get into shape and spar, and get rich, and we're out our money, thinking we're paying for entertainment, when we just got duped back into their plan...........

if they are trying to rematch, BOYCOTT ALL DAY!!!

and to be honest, if floyd doesn't fight martinez or pacquiao next, within the next 12 months, then i say BOYCOTT any and everything he does....... the fleecing needs to stop!!!!!

They cant because your post is correct. cortez looked over to see if the time keeper was ready to start the clock. thats why I believe when he said "lets go" and motioned them to the middle of the ring, he didn't mean for them to start fighting. he wanted to tell them keep the fight clean and then say "box" or "fight" to restart the fight.

the only one to blame here is WWE.. i guess we all can agree on that wwe has a major influence on floyd's action.

Hilarious part is that Cortez probably would have DQ'd Ortiz if roles had been reversed. Cortez is one inept biased piece of crap!

Cortez had already chastised Ortiz for his actions when he put them in separate corners, prior to resuming the fight by saying "let's go". There was no need to bring them both back to the middle of the ring anmd reiterate the same thing to Mayweather because Ortiz was the only one fighting dirty. Cortez was clearly resuming the action when he said "let's go" bringing his hands together. This is pathetic.

EXACTLY!..that's why the commands are mainly hand signals. so if the ref signals the box motion (pointing to boxers and bringing hands together) that means BOX, that's what Cortez did.

                      Ding Ding Ding.

I said before the Fight that I would be dissapointed if Floyd lost a single second in a round since Ortiz is a B level fighter who got owned and quit against Maidana and Ortiz wasnt good enough to even make the Junior Mexican team, much less the US team.

I wanted to see Floyd beat Ortiz fair and square since "hes the best"

and the *****'s are now saying that "lets go" means to fight.

How could it mean fight when Cortez turns around away from the fighters and starts talking to the time keeper as Floyd is punching Ortiz already?

Should Floyd and Ortiz be in OPPOSITE CORNERS? Until he calls Time-In and tells them to fight?

Why was Floyd 1 foot away from Ortiz? Why was Ortiz and Floyd allowed to wonder when they are in Break? not only that but Cortez had his back turned and the GIF clearly shows he has this "errrrr wut i do now" look on his face.

There's a reason we had 10 threads before the fight about COrtez and even a Fight Poster with Cortez photoshopped with Floyd.

                      Now you know why.

but nah, go head Floyd fans. Big up Floyd like he did anything impressive, when we all know that Ortiz is a one dimensional slugger with no heart and no chin, who got owned by even a more one dimensional fighter in Maidana and drew against Peterson.

I guess beating a bum in Berto is really an accomplishment.

Shows what kind of Boxers you support.

Gutless, Spineless, Classless Crooks who dont care about their own fans, yet you ******s will make 100000 excuses for him while he laughs at you guys.

Cya in 3 years, since thats his next fight, no reason for you guys to be here.
