Cortez signaled them to start fighting... It was legal, but cheap.
Ortiz deserved it 110%, for being inexperience and immature.

Floyd on the other hand cheapen the victory by resulting to a cheap KO shots.

I don't care for a rematch, Floyd will just TKO10 or UD12 Ortiz, which was the eventual outcome, prior to the controversial stoppage.

Looking thru the Boxing Rules it doesnt say "Lets Go"

What the hell could Lets Go mean? Especially when you turn your back to the fighters to talk to someone?

If he said FIGHT / BOX than that wouldve been a diffirent thing, but saying "LETS GO?" I didnt know that "Lets Go" means " FIGHT OR BOX"

Joe Blotrez proves yet again that he is a useless twat. This fight reminded me of a WWE event:

Both fighters inviting family members to fight
      Cheap gimmicks at weigh in
      Headbutt that looked scripted
Referee looks away as fighter KO's the dude with hands down
Commentators getting into a fight with a fighter.

Vince McMahon couldnt script a better event if he tried
If you know Boxing you know that the only verbal commands you do LISTEN to is, BOX. STOP. BREAK. after that it's all signaling by the ref. when Cortez said LET'S GO he SIGNALED the BOX motion with his HANDS by pointing at them and bringing them TOGETHER, that meant BOX!..

How is it possible for the ref in any timed game (football, basketball, boxing, etc) to tell the players to start the game if the timer is not yet running?

You're right ! Cortez wasnt even paying attention to what was going on. Will he admit it? no becuase first off he's rican and he has a thing against mexican boxers. If floyd was the one that got knocked out defenseless im pretty sure he would of said " i never called time back in" blah blah

I always thought that hand signals by ref supersedes any verbal instructions.
This is due to fighters having different native language.

Also cortez looked over to the officials outside the ring to see if they were ready to restart the fight. Thats just my opinion on what happened but I could care less for floyd or ortiz. This fight was a joke from the moment it was made which is why I watched it for free online. It certainly lived up to my expectations. What a joke of a fight lol.
he motioned for them to Fight asfter saying LETS GO. he said for them to fight the looked to call time in.
