Thats obvious. But the truth is, hardcore fans can appreciate both technical and brawling styles. Not only that, we all must recognize that ultimately, it is the brawler that keeps the sport alive. If boxing comprised of only technical fighters, it would not be on TV.
Brother Jay deserves a whole new thread for this post.

alot of those points were bs. A true fan loves both the spectacle and the science. They will watch the match and cheer for their favorite fighter and then rewatch it afterwards to see what they missed in silence. IF he thinks a real boxing fan wants quiet in a spectacle fight thats live, hes ******ed.Comment

Disagree on several counts, that is of what I read of it anyway.
The martial art of boxing is a great thing, imo the best one ever created. The sport of boxing is great too, it has done great things for many, inspired, and goes beyond just simple "this might not be the best thing for a person physically", there is also a risk and a downside as well. This is really the story of life, you take the good with the bad. I honestly believe that when properly executed by all involved, it is a noble, great combative contest of skill and will, and it will forever be my passion.
It get's a bad name from those who have abused it, keep in mind there are those who have abused every sport in every way. Corruption and incompetence has a presence everywhere in life. It requires refs, judges, trainers, cornerman, promoters, commisions and fighters who have respect, integrity, skills, and expertise. When even one of these things is lacking, people have a tendancy to get down on the sport. We need a higher standard to protect the fighters and make our great sport shine. Also need to recognize those who already do and have.
Even though I love to watch fights be so conclusive and lengthy I do sometimes wonder if it asks too much of it's participants. Sometimes forget to or don't appreciate how much these guys who go 12 rounds truly go through. 12 rounds, sparring, and many fights shows both how amazingly resilliant and yet how fragile the human body and brain really are.
Summary: What we do and love getting on here talking about ain't perfect, but that doesn't mean it's sin, "carnal", or a bad thing. Scumbags and incompetence involved are what's wrong with it.
And according to the dumbass logic presented, Pacquiao has no fans that are hardcore fans and students of the sport. This is a bulls#!t statement, simply put. Many legit fans appreciate the way Mayweather systematacally breaks guys down, while still admiring the aggresion, precision, and all around great offensive skills of Pacquiao even more. Get off your high horse.Comment

pretty much what his saying, hidden behind a whole page of bs, is that a true boxing fan should only appreciate the "slick" african american style
