People that think that this fight was one sided only saw the last two punches.

Ortiz had his moments, Floyd was far from invincible in there. Clearly fading.

Here's the thing, I'm not saying Ortiz didn't commit a wrong. He did, and he was deducted a point for that wrong.

And no, I'm not a big Ortiz fan. I believe that Mayweather looked amazing and would have tore him up down the stretch, and if he were a true sportsman who had the ability to forgive someone who was practically begging for his forgiveness, he would have done so instead of taking the coward way out. End of story.
i agree with malignaggi. ortiz wanted to make it rough, he should have kept it rough. you dont show one face and then change up in the middle of it, the moment he set the temperment of "this is gonna get ugly" to "im sorry sir!

mayweather had already made up his mind. to be honest, mayweather wouldve been a bit of a sucka not to throw some payback.

its nothing any old timer wouldnt have done.

imagine someone coming up to chavez, low blowing him and then trying to hug him over and over, wtf do you think he wouldve done?

            they were very few

just like the dlh fight people are giving too much credit for uneffective aggression. the way floyd had vic on his bike early was very telling, and it wasn't indicating he was fading

I was bewildered as to why Ortiz didn't go with the flow and turn it into a war. His best chance may have been to force PBF to lose his cool.

I just don't think Ortiz has the ability to contain his emotions long enough to be that calculating.

Ortiz was not competitive really - he just made Floyd block some flurries. Seems that against Mayweather that makes someone competitive?

I'm sure Margarito landed some good shots on Shane in their fight but I wouldn't say he was competitive. Honestly things were getting worse for Victor and as much as I like the kid he was clearly feeling that he had no chance.

Watch the flurry in the corner. Vic misses 3 shots oputright and floyd is moving his head making the shots that connect only glancing blows. Vic was frustrated. That said, headbutt looked like this was the plan but Vic went too far and actually cut floyd's mouth.

We saw it from the first minute of the fight. Floyd Mayweather Jr. is one of the dirtiest boxer of all time.
How can he be a chicken and Pacquiao has fights lined up before he is done fighting? I am sure Ortiz is next on his list. Let Pac call the chicken's bluff and say it in writing that he will take all testing. If he is a congressman he should show his people that he isn't on anything. Your logic stinks. Pacquiao already had a fight lined up before May even took the fight. So after November hopefully the two fighters can come together and sign a contract and fight. That way after Floyd beats Pac's ass people like you can go away
