    "Shane Mosley, I LOVE YOU."

I was so offended by this overt racism, I wrote to HBO demanding that Merchant be terminated, which would free him up for all his clan meetings.
Also let's not forget Jefferson KO'd another black fighter.

Let's not forget Mosley KO'd Mayorga. It's not that hard to take a pick between the two.

Pavlik was praised for his win against Taylor and for sending Taylor to the hospital. Only for Merchant to make excuses all through his loss to Hopkins.

Regarding mayweather, I don't think Merchant saying "cong**** on the win Floyd" overrule's the countless times he's hated on the man.

For instance, Merchant critisized Mayweather Saturday night when Mayweather was walking to the arena for having his children with him. Come on man, seriously?
Merchant said that stuff before the fight. He thought Pavlik was wrong for trying to make a money fight with Hopkins instead of defending his title at middleweight.

What was there not to praise about Pavlik's win over Taylor? He knocked out a middleweight champion in a terrific fight where he had been dropped and nearly KO'd.

Obviously Mayweather and Merchant are past the point of return but Mayweather would have made it a lot easier on himself by having a hint of class when dealing with Merchant and other journalists. There is no reason to avoid answering questions.

As an example he could have repeated that "you have to protect yourself at all times" and that it was all he was going to say to the question. There was no need to start insulting an old man along with his entourage.

he thanked god and his team and gave a straight answer to the question then thanked everybody and got cut off with the same question. what more did he need to say?

It says a lot of things. I didn't agree with the way Floyd handled that incident ether. He took it way too far. He needs to learn how to handle his emotions better.

On the other end I understand why Floyd did what he did. Floyd obviously has resentment issue with his father for leaving him when he was younger and not being the best father. That compiled with the fact that Floyd Sr wants to take credit for EVERYTHING is a recipe for disaster.

The argument was fine up until Floyd let his emotions get the best of him.

Good point. That was a bad example on my part.

But my opinion on Merchant still remains the same. His bad is > his good.

We all saw Floyd go off on Merchant and it wasn't a good decision to do so. But until Floyd is convicted of assaulting someone it is wrong to assume that he actually did commit assault or was involved with a shooting. Were you there? Absolutely not so you don't know if those allegation are true or not.

It's all hearsay until something is proven. Same with the Pacquiao steroid allegations.

Merchant also blamed Arum for making the Pavlik-Hopkins fight during the fight. Merchant said "Why did Pavlik fight Hopkins. He has nothing to gain in doing so. This fight shouldn't have been made." This was said when Pavlik was getting dominated. All I'm saying is be consistent. Just like Taylor was undefeated when Pavlik beat him; Pavlik was undefeated when Hopkins beat him.

Regarding the post fight interview Saturday night, Merchant repeatedly cut Mayweather off. This feud between the two has been building. You have to realize that Merchant has been critisizing Floyd for the past 10 years. Floyd watches replays of his fights and he hears these things. That's what led up to the showdown between merchant and Floyd Saturday night. If Floyd exploded on Merchant for no reason, I would understand. But Merchant has a history of inconsistent critisizm. That's the problem.

Old in age or not, commentators are suppose to call fights neutrally not biasedly.
